Future Florida Bashes

So now that team Alvey is relocating to the sunshine state do you think that will also improve the chances of having some more Florida bashes in the future? Busch Gardens Bash hasn't even happened yet and already excited for what the future holds for Florida Bashes

I missed out? Is team Alvey moving to Florida? If that does mean (I don't know, wasn't there on the chat) there will be more bashes and events in Florida Flying in to Florida from Europe is easier and cheaper than other states.

I checked out the chat. I understand it is the most expensive place on earth, however I hope there will be more in Florida. I see at BG that is really expensive compared to other areas. I will wait for 2013, get some funds first.

Hopefully with the Bush Gardens Bash just about sold out that bodes well for future Florida bashes and shows that there is a market for them although more pricey. Robb and Elissa - If you build it, they will come.

let me rephrase:

 

Florida is better than California (LA in particular).

 

Plus now its only a 2 hour flight for them to get up to NYC instead of a 6 hour flight. Scott's Pizza Tours and Build a Muppet - the real reason for the move hahaha

Both yes and no....here's the reality of it.... while I have 100 people at this event, I've only got 21 parties attending who are Florida locals. The feedback I've gotten from the Florida locals about this event is that it's just too expensive, and since the Florida parks are open 365 days a year, most of the locals know when to go to the parks during quiet times to get their own ERT.

 

Busch Gardens Bash was a draw to people outside of Florida because of Howl-O-Scream being featured. It really makes this a "full day, big event" because you're sort of getting "two parks in one day!" And even without Howl-O-Scream added into the mix, honestly, the event wouldn't have been that much cheaper the way the entire package was put together. I don't think I would have been able to sell a BGT day on it's own to many people for $85 - $100.

 

It's going to be a lot of "figuring out" once we're in Florida, but even having some discussion with Universal, for example, I have to ask - how many Florida locals are going to be willing to pay $75 - $100 to get up super early for an hour of ERT on Dueling Dragons or Hulk?

 

So if there is a way for us to have an event combined with a TPR trip or something, we can make it work, but the majority of my Florida locals are just not willing to pay that price tag, and the parks are unable to offer a "cheap" event.

 

I think you'll see us doing more "un-official" meets more than anything else.... sort of like "Hey Florida locals! Let's all get together this weekend and go drinking around the world at Epcot!" Stuff like that...

 

There WILL be more Florida based TPR events...just not sure exactly what they will be...but don't worry...there will be more!

I totally understand what you mean and appreciative with any official events and/or unofficial meets ups you guys come up with.

 

I smell a Drinking race around World Showcase to BBR challenge in the making, last person to toss their tortillas wins lol
