Desert Plains Amusement Park [RCT3]

Recommended Posts

Just a bit of background information about myself, this is my first ever post on these forums and I hope to make many future posts. I don't have a massive database in my head of ride manufacturers or dates rides were first released Etc. But, I will do research and hopefully have the right information. If I do make any mistakes, If you could kindly just point it out to me and I will take it into account and edit what was previously wrong. Anyway, back to the park...

"Hello, My name is John Stevenson and I am the future park manager of Desert Plains. Although the park has only just started construction, I will try my best to bring you updates on the construction of the park. We aim to be open Within 1 year, but at that time only operating with small selection of attractions. I hope you keep your eyes on this thread as I have big plans for the near, yet distant future. The parks logo is yet to be released, quite simply because we don't have one yet. But we do have some photos of construction so far..."

Comments are greatly appreciated

"Now for the exciting news! I released a picture of a glimpse of the first ride which is in fact a scrambler ride. We have decided to call it stallion."

"Remember that mystery structure ? Well, I decided to invest in a Zierer StarShape. I think it has been placed very well and I'm sure it will have some screaming riders as they face near misses with the building surrounding it. Now this ride we have called DERELIKT."

"Finally a park overview to show the amount of construction that's taken place. The small building to the left of DERELIKT is a toilet building which I forgot to include a picture of. I will make sure I get one in my next update."

I like the park.

Thank You.

I think it's less that people aren't interested and more of that there isn't really anythin to comment on. Wait until you get some nice finished screens to post them; CD5's Six Flags Carolina is a grey example of good RCT3 updates.

Okay, I have decided to skip the construction year as I have got a lot of work done on the park recently and it is practically ready to open. I am just going to post one last update to show the complete park. That is to come...

I like the park so far. The entrance looks pretty cool. I like the Zerier StarShape the best. Sorry I don't know how to pronounce the name.

But I think you should continue the park.

Thanks, I am going to continue the park as I did receive a few comments. I am mainly doing this so I can boost my skills in RCT3. And as for the Zierer StarShape, It took me a while to get a good concept and I hope it worked.

Onto to today's update...

Construction Year, Final Update...

"It has been a long year here at Desert Plains, But construction is finally done and the park will be opening its doors tomorrow on the 6th August Mid-Day. I have some pictures of the park before we open it to the public. There is also a release of the information on our parks main coaster, but you will have to wait for that. So, without further ado..."

The park is coming together nicely- but I'm not quite so sure about the B&M coaster.

While I love the colors, and the idea behind it, it doesn't quite fit to the scale of the park- it's a bit too large for a smaller park in scale; I'd consider bringing it back a notch or perhaps using a different design- a Standup coaster of 100 ft in height, for example, or lower the height of it, and change the layout on the 'back end' of the ride- Perhaps instead of a cobra roll element, have the ride dive right and into a ground level helix of doom.

The rest of the park looks fine in scale- The colors match, and are appropriate to the general theme- I look foward to seeing the rest of your park's expansion-

Thanks for all your feedback, however the reason for such a large coaster is that it is the main attraction of the park and the key to expanding my park in the future. I have good ideas to expand this coaster, not track wise but in other ways, you will have to wait and see for that (And by the way, I am not a very good coaster designer unfortunately but I am practising alot.)

Scorpion looks alot like a Togo Mega Coaster like Bandit. I just hope it isn't as painful.

When I rode Scorpion it seemed smooth, and I had never heard of bandit :O I had to Google it ha-ha.

I am really liking the park's drop tower and the B&M,keep up the good work.

Thanks, and I have some good ideas for Season 2 and 3 already. I hope they live up to your standards for this park

I'm not really liking Scorpion. It seems weird to have a cobra roll, as it mainly looks like a hyper, and it's really unrealistic to have that huge hill going into the break run. I'd say, take out the cobra roll, lower the hills before the brake run, and give it an "L" shaped layout.
