PhishyBrewer Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 Since Karen and I are going to Vegas next weekend, we decided to do very little this weekend. So we made a little trip to our old neighborhood brewery, the Sacramento Brewing Co. They have great beer here and awesome food. Definitely a must if you’re ever in Sacramento. Enjoy the photos! And of course... I had to take some home. Extra Pale Ale, yummy yum! All and all, this is a great place to eat and enjoy great tasting beer. "You got that there little buddy?" The burgers there are EPIC! The calamari was excellent! It's been about 2 years since I've been back to this brewery. So of course, I had to try everything. Fermantation Tanks The Beer & Drink Menu More of the bar and the fermantation tanks. They have a great bar. Friendly staff also. Kettle and Cooker 9 brews to choose from. The Hefe was alright, and the barley wine was way to strong. But the Extra Pale Ale was just right! Thee Menu Had some great company. The main dining room. The brewing process. If you don't get it, ask me. I'm a professional.
Hattuchili Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 Great Photo TR, Wally. Did you really taste all the beer sorts? That is awesome. It looks like I have to visit you, that we can go to one of the great brewerys! --Sören
PhishyBrewer Posted September 3, 2005 Author Posted September 3, 2005 ^I drank everthing except for the Barley Wine and the Scotch Ale. Way to high in alcohol for my taste. If you ever did make it out to California, we would have a grand old time. When your with me, I put a little weekend in you weekdays.
Hattuchili Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 ^That sounds great, I let you know, when I am in California. Do you go on the UK trip? --Sören
FlyingScooter Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 Nice! Looks like the Burger is doing an Aliens facehugger on your kid! lol Good one, Wally.
PhishyBrewer Posted September 3, 2005 Author Posted September 3, 2005 Nice! Looks like the Burger is doing an Aliens facehugger on your kid! lolGood one, Wally. I couldn't believe it. Gavin's burger was just as big as the ones Karen and I had, yet his cost $3.95 and ours was $9.95. Must of been the bacon and guac.
SLUSHIE Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 Have you been to Beerman's in Loomis? I'm sure you have. They have pretty good food and beer, or so I'm told...
Imhotep Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 I love all these brewery TRs!!! The only local brewery Ive ever been to was in downtown Indianapolis, and the only good thing they had there is Pale Ale.. Everything else was too bitter. I might not be the best judge, I think the most unique beers Ive ever had were Bitburger and Stella Artois, and my favorite beer ever being Yuengling.

It's a cheap beer with a high price tag. Don't get me wrong, it's a good tasting beer, but it's way over rated. Yuengling is a decent beer. America's oldest a matter of fact.
Imhotep Posted September 4, 2005 Posted September 4, 2005 Yeah I thought Stella Artois sucked for the record.. It was kind of sweet, almost fruity. Stella Artois is what people drink on gay cruises I imagine. No offense to gay people, I promise. Im a sucker for Yuengling. I can be completely not in the mood to drink but if someone has it, Ill drink it. Especially if its on tap!

Do you go on the UK trip? --Sören Sorry I didn't respond to this earlier. No, I will not be joining the TPR Crew for the UK trip. Just due to that fact that I'm planning a trip to Europe in June. France, Belgium and Germany. If the next trip is Japan, I'm in! SAKE to me!

Maybe there is a chance to meet you at a few parks and go out to taste some good German beer! --Sören
