robbalvey
Ok guys, Since I've been messing with this, I'll write down all my findings... 4 POINTS_COUPON_ENABLE true Edit Delete This simply enables the coupon system. It should always be sent to "true" 5 POINTS_UPLOAD_TRACK 20 Edit Delete This is how many points someone gets for uploading a track. 6 POINTS_DOWNLOAD_TRACK 1 Edit Delete This is how many points someone gets for downloading a track. 7 POINTS_RANK_TRACK 1 Edit Delete This is how many points someone gets for ranking a track. 8 POINTS_GENERATE_COUPON 500 Edit Delete This is how many points someone needs for a coupon to be automatically generated. 9 POINTS_GENERATE_CODE Edit Delete This generates a specific code that everyone would get. We actually are not using this function right now. But let's just say we ran a contest where for 1 week all coupons generated would be for $10 off a store purchase instead of a download, we would generate the coupon in the "manage coupon" admin panel, and then paste in the coupon code here, for example "qvs20xdv". This is not a feature I see us using very often, if ever. 10 POINTS_GENERATE_AMOUNT 4.99 Edit Delete This sets how much the coupon is good for. 11 POINTS_GENERATE_CATEGORY 10 Edit Delete This sets what category in the TPR store the coupon is good for. Category 10 is Digital Downloads. If you look in the TPR store, each category has an ID number, for example: http://www.themeparkreview.com/store/index.php?categoryID=10 12 POINTS_GENERATE_NOTICE true Edit Delete This sets that an email is generated to the member who earned the coupon code. 13 POINTS_GENERATE_DESC Congrats! Since you have been so active on TPRs Game Exchange you have earned a coupon! Use this coupon on any of TPRs Digital Downloads in the TPR Store! Edit Delete This sets the description that everyone sees in their profile that describes what the coupon is good for. 14 POINTS_GENERATE_AVAILABLE_TIMES 1 Edit Delete This sets how many times a member can use each coupon. For example, this means that everyone can use the coupon 1 time, and then it disappears. 15 POINTS_GENERATE_AVAILABLE_DAYS 365 Edit Delete This sets how long the coupon is good for. These coupons will expire in 1 year from the date issued. http://themeparkreview.com/game_exchange/manage/managecoupons.php The manage coupon admin panel is very useful because it will tell us which people are getting coupons, and how many each member has. It should be pretty easy at a glance to see if one member has 10 coupons. Also, if for any reason we need to "fill up" someone's coupon, you can edit it and add more money to it. This section will also allow us to generate a coupon and give it to someone if we wish. Or also generate a coupon that is good for all members. Basically, other than using this section to see if any members are spamming the system and getting tons of coupons, and I would say it's very rare that any moderators would need to do anything else with this. You don't want to accidentally create a coupon that's good for every member of the forum! Hope all of this is very useful information! --Robb
A.J.
It all seems stupidly simple enough. How many points would be issued/deleted if a file is deleted from the exchange? I'd think 20 points should be lost for deleting a file, that way members can't upload > delete over and over again to get points.
robbalvey
^ Good point, let me see if it can be done.
QueerRudie
It makes a bit more sense now to me- After trying a purchase with it from TPR- I did place an order- could you delete that, Robb? And I agree- WAAAAH! I lost my coupons- LOL R.D.
robbalvey
Note, I just had them add the functionality that you HAVE to download a file before ranking it. Also, we can now see the member name of who has earned a coupon here: http://themeparkreview.com/game_exchange/manage/managecoupons.php So it makes it easier for us to see if anyone is spamming the system. robbalvey
Go generate more coupons! It's only set to one point right now!
A.J.
I feel bad that DJ and Mcjaco aren't taking advantage of the coupon testing... Does this mean that all tracks uploaded BEFORE the point system was put in place get no points at all?
robbalvey
^ That is correct. The way I look at it, the line in the sand is that once the Game Exchange goes "live" then the points start to add up. Otherwise we would be giving away our entire library of digital downloads to people already! We need to encourage people to upload MORE! --Robb
robbalvey
Also, has anyone else tested the full system all the way to downloading a video?
QueerRudie
Good call, Robb & A.J.- I hate to say it- but a deduction system is going to be a must, considering there are some 'unsavoury' types out there. As for the coupon system- I ticked the 'game forum coupon' again- and still not able to get the coupon info to produce- (I'm on Windows Explorer here); I DO see the info when I tick the Club TPR box. I'll check on it in a bit. R.D.
robbalvey
^ That's very weird. Can you post a screen shot of it so I can send to the developer?

QueerRudie
I did try the coupon system via the Club TPR brackets- and it took the coupon code- will try downloading file once confirmed- R.D.
robbalvey
^ It took the game exchange coupon using the Club TPR option? Interesting....

QueerRudie
Tried the 'coupon' uplink again- Yes, the Club TPR coupon port worked (again)- I'm going to try and re-load Explorer in a minute- have to go and find food. Perhaps that will solve out the problems- R.D.
robbalvey
Ok, I have once again deleted all the coupons. I've also set the number back to 500 as I noticed some other people found out about it! If you need to test again, just set that 500 to 1, test to get a coupon, and then set it back to 500 again. Also, should we remove all those test tracks now?
QueerRudie
Got it- I'll remove those tracks right away- R.D.
