Lakeside is nice in a nostalgic sort of way. Although the surroundings are rough.

Elitch is a waste. The park is small, the rides are crap and it always seems to be filled with thugs and gang banger wannabes that pay for the season pass to have a place to hang out all summer. Easily the worst park atmosphere on a consistent basis I have ever experienced. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone thinking of going with kids. They should bulldoze the place, sell the land for a high rise condo complex and start over again outside of town with the money.

Once upon a time I had a season pass for Elitch but these days I wouldn't go if they were giving tickets away.

Sorry to be so negative, but it really stinks when you live here and the largest amusement park within a ten hour drive is Elitch. At least we live in a area were we have a bunch of other stuff to do that is world class.

^ Okay, I wouldn't call Elitch's a waste. The rides may be clones but they are all good clones... I mean we could have an insanely rough Boomerang or SLC but ours are rather enjoyable (In my opinion). And yes, I'll agree that the clientèle isn't insanely great but it isn't filled with gangbangers and/or thugs.

I wasn't sure where to ask this, so I figured I would post it here. It looks like Lakeside's website is no longer existant. It wasn't a very good site to start out with, but I wonder what this could mean for the future of the park. You will find their website here.

Great little TR! I feel like I always hear about Elitch's but don't really have much of an idea of the park as I don't go out of my way to research it. I had no idea they had an Arrow shuttle, I've always wanted to try one.

And I don't think I had any idea of that Lakeside park's existence. I LOVE those drop towers. They are definitely super intense, with their little flat seat and very basic restraint. The drop is just so fast, and they don't seem to stop until you're just feet from the ground. Easily my favorite type of tower.

Lakeside launched a new website, which includes the 2011 Hours (except for July: They tell us the times the park was open in the third century instead of when it will be open this year ).

EDIT: ↓ Yeah, the old site was probably one the worst websites I have ever seen. Sad as it is, this is better.
