Hello TPR, I've been here for a while and I have commented on some of your stuff, but I haven't shown you any of my stuff. I play RCT2 a lot but I don't make parks, only coasters in the designer. I am going to use this thread to post pictures of my best coasters. Comments and critiques are welcome.

My first coaster is called Venom, a pretty standard Intamin mini-hyper heavily inspired by Walibi World's Goliath.

SCR2.BMP

The mega-lite style turnaround

SCR3.BMP

Airtime hills!

SCR4.BMP

And the Maverick inspired finale.

SCR5.BMP

This hill was inspired by the second hill of Intimidator at Carowinds

My next coaster is what I think my best so far. It's an airtime filled GCI twister called Wolverine.

SCR7.BMP

Overview.

SCR8.BMP

This part was inspired by EK at SFSTL

SCR9.BMP

The train takes this sexy element with great speed.

SCR10.BMP

I spy with my little eyes... Aitrime!

SCR11.BMP

Revenge af the airtime!!

SCR12.BMP

One more airtime hill and into the way-to-long brake run.

My next coaster is a CCI inspired by Tremors called Timber Twister.

SCR13.BMP

Overview. It's pretty spread out.

SCR14.BMP

There's some nice airtime coming out of that turnaround.

SCR15.BMP

More airtime and some intense turns.

SCR16.BMP

The finale is a helix followed by a steep climb to the brake run.

That's all for now, let me know what you think.

Have to say I don't usually like coasters posted from the editor. They are usually not very good, however yours are very good! Can't really find anything to gripe about with any of them.

My only suggestion would be to get them out of the editor and put them into mini parks. Like single coaster dioramas, just a few trees, and minor landscaping just to make them a bit more photogenic. Not much, just enough to bring the ride to life. About 10 minutes worth of work, no elaborate structures or anything like that. Just plain stations, trees, flowers, bushes and grass.

When your done, post the pictures and a download of your mini park so everyone can take a look at your coaster in-game.

If your one of those people who just hate picking scenery items just go with what the game gives you standard, make a map about 100/100 (smaller or bigger if needed) and pick the coaster type you will be using. Save it and then when your ready to do the next one, load it up and change coaster type and map size (if needed) and your good to go. Besides when your on a map you can make tunnels and some rides like your two wooden coasters would look great with a tunnel here or there.

Thanks, honestly I wasn't expecting to get great compliments. I will follow your advice dmaxsba2408 and I have quite a few other coasters already saved so you can expect those fairly soon. How do I post downloads?

It's right below the Picture posting thingy at the bottom of the screen. If you uploaded to photos to TPR, you just do the same thing with a download.

Sounds good, I think it will be much better than just coasters in the editor.

When your ready I would start a new topic like imawesome1124's RCT2 Coaster Mini Parks or similar and just let this thread die off. Then you will have a fresh start with your new little coaster park dioramas. Each time you add a new one change the info in your first post with the new one's name. It's the line under the Title section. That way everyone knows you posted something new.

You can zip the parks when you attach them at the end of your post or just upload the saved game right from your RCT2 folder. Your choice. Good luck and take your time. Look forward to seeing the 3 you posted today with their new looks and the new ones you have in the works.

I'm back, with three more coasters!

This one I have mixed feelings about. It's a launched Schwartzkoph that also has two lift hills and it is the longest coaster I have made to date, which I am proud of. However, I don't feel like I put a lot of creativity into the layout. If you have other feelings tell me about them, and how I can improve if I do a similar coaster. On to the pictures.

SCR22.BMP

In this overview you can see why it is the longest coaster I've made so far

SCR23.BMP

Do you think I overdid the theming?

SCR34.BMP

TWISTEE!!

My next coaster is a B&M mini floorless called Purple Lightning. The name came to me when we were driving home in a terrible storm, like zero visibility through the rain, and the lightning was turning the sky purple when it struck. This coaster is very short, but very intense.

SCR27.BMP

Overview.

SCR28.BMP

Twisty Immelman!

SCR29.BMP

This pulls some serious G's in the corkscrews.

Lastly we have a Gravity Group Woodie which is kind of a mix between Ravine Flyer 2 and Boardwalk Bullet. It's called Dust Devil which incase you didn't know what it it's when dust swirls around in the wind and it looks like a tornado. The ride travels through scenes of an old west town at great speeds.

SCR30.BMP

You can see how compact it is.

SCR31.BMP

This was the part inspired by Ravine Flyer 2.

SCR32.BMP

This was inspired by Boardwalk Bullet.

Just to keep you updated I am working on a project that will probably be my largest and best coaster yet. It is almost done, I just have to put the finishing touches on it and will release it soon. In case you haven't seen the teaser in the preview thread here it is:

Update: Since nobody's commented yet I'm not going to bother double posting. I need your input here, please. So I have finished my project and it is the tallest, fastest, longest, and probably best coaster I have made yet. It's 200 feet tall, 80 miles per hour, and over 5,700 feet long. I give to you: Stinger!

So happy to see your still churning them out, I have downloaded them all and when I get the chance I will give you some feedback on them. Work have been a little crazy lately and I am not finding much free time at the moment. Am looking forward to seeing each one run through it's course as soon I get the chance.

Nice woodies! The only thing I have to say is watch out for that big turn on Harbinger after the first drop. I'm guessing it's in the spirit of Intimidator 305?

I might have totally missed out and forgot to comment on the others but I got this one done.

First let me say I am glad you used block brakes for these coasters, always a good choice. My only suggestion is to take the time to set the trains dispatch so they don't stack up on the lift. All you have to do is take the total ride time and divide it by the number of trains. Unless it is an unusually long ride with no MCBR this method works great to keep things moving smoothly.

Americana - Loved the drop sequence on this coaster, it just kept going and going. One little drop at a time. I also really liked how the trains and track were colored. I don't usually like the Red, White and Blue thing but for some reason today I did. Maybe it was the way the trains themselves were colored also.

Kamikaze - I found this one to be bit boring. I think it had to do with the loss of speed. For future builds I suggest putting in a chain on hill tops where the coaster is traveling less than or around 15MPH. It will give the coaster that anti-roll back sound. I also think this coaster could have been better if it used the 6 seater trains.

Hellbound - Although this coaster was a bit choppy it had good speed through out it's course and ended up being one of my favorite coasters of the group.

Quicksilver - I liked it but it really was nothing special (that just means it was a solid ride ).

Panther - This one had great speed and great curves and was my favorite in the park until...

378372277_PantherStall.JPG.411a296a733b3a1791fd8a9e2c67fc12.JPG

While I was watching other coasters I happen to glance back over to Panther and it had stalled out in the last curve. I suspect it must have it the brakes harder than it should have and did not have the momentum to get completely onto the brake run. Anyway I still think it was the best ride out of all of them.

Juggernaut - This coaster was DOA, you killed it by putting a banked curve at the top of the lift. There is not enough speed for that, the rest of the ride was also... well, boring. Sorry.

Harbinger - This was the one I was looking forward to the most, love those large drops into sweeping truns. Well this coaster did deliver on that part and also had some good moves during it's course but it just couldn't hold my attention.

On a side note I am glad you are putting your coasters on a map, much better than in the editor. I hope you take this to next level and start really putting some time into the coasters surrounding. I would like to invite you to download THIS blank map to use for your coasters. I made it the other day for Montuman99 to showcase his work and I would love to see your work on it also. Right below the blank park download is another download where I made a single coaster park diorama. I took it to an extreme and by no means think it is necessary to go to that extent. I just wanted to show how cool a little diorama can be. By the way it was all done without custom senery.
