big-dave Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Hi, I've been following this forum for years as a silent reader. I've had to speak up now as I need some quick opinions. I'm currently sat in Germany using internet access on a phone so research is difficult. We were due to spend 2 days at Europa Park but got it all done in 1 day because it was deserted. So now we can visit another. Choices coming up on the sat nav are: Wallygator Plopsa Coo Holiday Park Phantasialand These are the ones I recognize. But which one is best? Visiting with 3 kids ages 8, 6 & 2 so big roller coasters aren't essential this time. Help me please!!!
robbalvey Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 I would probably recommend Phantasialand as they do have a lot for everyone. Have a look at our park index page to get an idea of some of the rides: http://www.themeparkreview.com/parks/page.php?pageid=129
cfc Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 I agree--Phantasialand is the best choice of this group. (Walygator is probably the worst.)
Groteslurf Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Without kids, I would have said Holidaypark because of Expedition GeForce. With kids, Phantasialand. Although Plopsacoo is also nice, but only for half a day max. Tripsdrill is also a good option while you're near Europapark, and it's also closer to Europapark than Plopsacoo and Phantasialand.
SharkTums Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 With children that age I would also suggest Phantasialand or Plopsa.
big-dave Posted June 1, 2010 Author Posted June 1, 2010 Looks like it's Phantasialand. I'm going to try pushing my luck now. Would anyone with a spare 5 minutes be able to post the opening hours. The Phantasialand web site is not phone friendly. I think it might be 9 though. I actually a bit disappointed we didn't need 2 days at Europa park because I was saving the camera and camcorder for day 2. However, the lure of a new park was just too great.
SharkTums Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 ^9am - 6pm. Keep in mind not all attractions open right at 9, and some attractions close before 6pm. Have fun!
