JimmyBo
Where do I begin? This place is awesome in so many ways. Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Farm is located near Picacho Peak in Arizona off the I-10. In this farm you can feed and pet deer, goats, DONKEYS, crazy over-fed Lorikeets and you can even feed the insane, dumb bird...the Ostrich. Here's the photo's from our experience at this crazy place. Enjoy! Here it is in all it's glory! Holy hell! The Ostrich are already on a feeding frenzy. Let's come back later and feed them. Let's go and find something else to feed! Oh look at the cute deer. Let's feed them first. The deer in the upper left is doing his business...remember that as it comes back later! They are about to break through the fence and take the food from me. Look at their crazy eyes! Close-up of the deer. Look in the upper left corner...see something familiar? Time for Cassie to feed them. They nearly ripped the cup out of her hand! Now the rest of the deer know we have food and they are coming over for something to eat At least is enjoying herself while feeding the deer. Some other animals later were not so nice to her. We will get to that shortly A few things going on in this picture. The main deer is eating the fence trying to get out and take the food from us. The deer on the left is about to lick the deer's butt infront of him. And of course the deer in the upper left is still taking a piss. Another deer came over to check on him to make sure he was okay. Seriously, it seemed like that deer hadn't peed in about a month Ok, last deer feeding pic. More animals need food Oh geez. They are done feeding and looking for their nextt victim. Quick, run away from them and toward another animal! Oh my god! It's a mutant goat with two heads! WTF! This is the hole in the wall gang. Goats poke their heads out of the holes and you feed them. You were supposed to throw it at them but they were too stupid and wouldn't catch it so I went up and fed them by hand See all the food pellets on the ground? They weren't very good at catching the food Just feed them right out of the cup until they try to eat the cup Two levels of goats that were starving! Actually feeding them by hand wasn't so bad...they were very gentle in taking the pellets off my hand Oh dear God. Now they are trying to eat cups. I am not ready to feed them yet. They are still too crazy! Time to feed the TPR Mascot! They are such sweet animals. Each donkey basically stayed in one place and they wanted you to come to them. They were awesome! They wouldn't let you feed them by hand but you put the food pellets in a trough infront of them and you got to pet them while they ate Hey! Look at the sign! Ostrich Bite! Thanks for telling me. I'm not feeding these dumb birds if they are going to bite! This one is checking me out. These things were a lot taller than I thought they would be. They were about 8-9 feet tall. I did feed the ostrich but I fed it the cheap way by throwing it over the fence and in the trough. Although I did beg one right in the face and it was a glorious moment. These over-fed, huge Lorikeets were not so nice to Cassie. As soon as she walked in with nectar they literally attacked her and she threw her nectar on the ground and tried to run away. This picture is her trying to run away but the one on her shoulder was biting her ear. I DO NOT RECOMMEND FEEDING THESE BIRDS! Ostrich Egg! Unfortunately you could only buy the egg shell so not omelets tonight for dinner! Next time we come we are stealing this thing and are going to drive over the Ostrich Well, that was the exciting Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Farm. If you are ever traveling on the I-10 to Tucson and pass by Picacho Peak I highly recommend this roadside attraction.

fatdaddy
i was there long time ago, before the lorikeets and the donkeys, and the monster truck, anyway if you ever wanna know what its like to be chased by raptors, feed the ostiches, they get all crazy and start swooping their heads at you, they don't have teeth, but they do bite, or pinch, not too scarey til theres like ten of um attacking your hand, i was sure i was gonna get cut by their beaks and once they got a taste of human blood i would be toast, oh and they do have a webpage, just in case you are planning to ride the monster bus, you need a certain number of people, i don't remember how many, i have ridden a monster truck school bus and it was awesome, must be crazy riding one through the desert, also have eaten ostrich burger, not quite as awesome, kinda tasted like giant smelly bird
