My family and I are going to DLR on the first weekend of December. So here are my questions...

1: How are crowds then

2: Is the 50th stuff still be going on (The Fireworks, Parade...)

3: Is it worth it

Any other tips will be very great.

Thanks A lot, Chris

1- Not quite as bad as later in December. Its manageble, if you ask me.

2- I dont know if anybody at our level knows yet. They may just do the normal Remember...Dreams Come True fireworks, they may bring back the Believe...In Holiday Magic fireworks (from last Christmas), or they may do a Holiday version of Remember...Dreams Come True. Nobody know how the parades will operate.

3- This is strictly a matter of what kind of a person you are. I personally LOVE Disneyland aroud Christmastime, and hope to be going myself. It is crowded, yet retains a romantic and personal feel. I dont care about the layovers much, but the Haunted Mansion Holiday layover (which will be returning) is awesome!

My two cents' worth:

  1. Yes, it'll be crowded.
  2. Yes, the 50th stuff should be going on. May 5 kicked off a 16- or 18-month (can't remember which) celebration.
  3. I'd say it's worth it. Even better if you can get a discount of some kind.

We're going the same week. All of the guidebooks say it is the "secret season" where you have minimal waits for rides and quick access throughout the park.

The true Christmas week is another story!

it has been comfirmed that Remember and Fantasmic are only going to have its performance only on weekends (Fri,Sat,Sun) during the off-season, but I'm not quite sure if they consider the beginning of December as "off season"

Of interest is the calendar on the Disney California Adventure website, showing California Screamin' closed for refurbishment into December!

Yea...but Space Mountain wasn't supposed to open till November 2005.

Disney just exagerates it. When DOSH releases their report and Disney sets what they will have to do, we will have a more realisitic reopening date.
