Lol, Nice update.

There is no way the Apple worm thing is a credit. I was considering it at the time but when I look back I realized it was ridiculous.

Ps. You didn’t discus the wildlife at Gilroy. Don’t you remember our Bird watching encounter?

I thought about it as well I did not count Apple & Worm as a credit.

Day 4: California's Great America:

Today was TPR's day at CGA! Having gone on Thursday with Mike & John I only needed two credits. Taxi Jam & Grizzly. Sadly I gor on Taxi Jam thanks to Mike but this time for free Also today my stomach was acting up so I didn't really ride much. We had Flight Deck ert in the morning & I rode that twice along with Demon, Taxi Jam, & Grizzly. Enjoy my complete CGA TR & video:

The last credit of CGA that I rode was the worst woodie I've ever ridden! I sat in the front not that it helped.

This was an ok Intamin drop tower.

We luckily got on Invertigo a few days before it broke down!

Demon was surprisingly my favorite coaster in the park!

It was ok. Nothing special.

Vortex was my first coaster ridden here (on Thursday).

Day 5: Six Flags Magic Mountain August 10, 2009

After a decade of craving to go to SFMM the day had finally come! The night before we were treated to bonus ert on Goliath for a half hour. My first ride at SFMM was the right side of Superman: The Escape before the surprise Goliath ert. Morning came and right outside our hotel I saw the coaster I've been wanting to ride since it opened up back in 2002 as X. As soon as we entered the park I couldn't wait any longer to ride this one of a kind coaster. My first ride on X2 was mind blowing! As the awesome band Metallica played the intro to Enter Sandman I knew this was going to be an awesome ride. Then the first drop came & I was thrown into the 4th demension! I sat in car 1 on the inside seat & remember being tossed around. One way I was facing forward and the next backwards. X2 was one of the craziest coasters I've ever ridden and for the first time in 8 years I was actually nervous on a new coaster. Thanks to ert I rode it 5x in a row. After X2 I got every credit in the park except for Colossus left and the kiddie adults couldn't ride. Be sure to check out my video. I used some of the X2 sound track! Enjoy the pics:

The Terminator ert was definitely my favorite ert session of the trip. I rode it 16x in a row!

Terminator I only rode at night during ert & it was AMAZING! My favorite GCI for sure & in my opinion better than El Toro!

I prefer the unthemed Scream over GADV's Bizarro.

Riddler's Revenge would have been a little better if it didn't break down for 25 minutes before I got on.

Surprisingly this is only my second Batman: The Ride!

Revolution was my first ride after ert. It was ok.

The only good part of Tatsu was that it was my 250th credit!

Tatsu was ridden 2x in a row during ert. That pretzel loop was the most intense element I've ever experienced on a coaster & I wasn't a big fan of it. Sorry Tatsu but Manta kicks your a$$!

Viper reminded me of GASM however I prefer GASM.

X2 was AMAZING! Rode it 5x in a row!

X2 has the coolest coaster audio ever & Metallica definitely adds to that!

Finally after 7 years of waiting I finally ride X2!

I love the photos! I never knew the GOLIATH statues were so big. I just have to go to SFMM (mostly because of the new GCI woodie Terminator Salvation: The Ride).

How does Riddler compare to other stand ups you have ridden? Great to see you finally made it out to the west coast Matt!

Actually I prefer Riddler over Mantis & the TOGO's of death in KD & CW. The only bad part about Riddler is the way the station is designed & the annoying techno music.

Love the SFMM video. Where'd you get the X2 audio file?

I found a video of the X2 audio on Youtube & ripped out just the audio & converted it to an mp3 format.

I actually think El Toro is overrated. Sure it is a good ride but I prefer the classic woodie feel. For example Boulder Dash is my #1 because it is long, enjoyable, & supplies lots of airtime. I think El Toro is a little short. My top 5 woodies:

^Lol yes I'm making a video for every park. I'm just saying the Techno music in Riddler's station was annoying because it went continuous for 25 minutes playing the same beat over & over again while the ride broke down. Next week's video is Universal, Scandia, & John's Incredible Pizza. I'm still not sure if I'm combining all three parks or not in one video.

Riddler had the worst station of ALL TIME!!!!

And I like Techno music too, but the Riddler Music was just plain bad. It was the same song for the continuous 45 minuets we were waiting in the sticky and humid station with 500 people.

Great update Matt! I loved the video, and I thought your timing making that your 2,000th post was awesome!

Day 6: Universal Studios Hollywood, Scandia, & John's Incredible Pizza

Today was a long 3 park day. We woke up bright & early & headed over to Universal Studios Hollywood for a backstage tour of Revenge of the Mummy along with ert. The tour was awesome. We got to see the control panel, the track with the lights on, & rode it with the lights on. Also Joey was there. Apart from the Mummy I rode Jurassic Park River Adventure which I thought was better than Orlando's. The Studio Tour was ok. I did some other rides like the Simpsons. After USH it was aff to Scandia. Scandia was a fun little park. The Screamer was intense & the Little Dipper was just a regular kiddie. The final park of the day was our bonus park John's Incredible Pizza with a Minor Mike coaster called Incredible Express inside. Enjoy the pics & video report:

Did I mention their pizza was AMAZING! The piece on the right was peanut butter pizza & the sauce tasted like peanut butter! The left was Hawian! The both rocked!

I really enjoyed the Studio Tour however I didn't take that many pics of it.

Even though it is a clone of Orlando's it is still a fun ride.

This is why I like this Jurassic Park better than Orlando's. The falling Jeep & 2 T-Rex's!

Why couldn't SFMM have these! They were awesome apart from the annoying audio playing again & again.

Day 7: Sea World San Diego & Belmont Park August 12, 2009

Today was a fun & interesting day. Our first of two parks was Sea World San Diego! We did not have ert on JTA but it was still a fun visit. We did some attractions before we got our credit. The penguins rocked as well as the shark encounter. The Shamu show was bad. If felt like you were in a cult or something. There was even an arctic exploration area where you can write your name on a snow wall! It was a fun visit & I even got a Penguin! Vote for his name!

Belmont was a unique park. It was traditional and reminded me of a better maintained Clementon. Now if you remember my phone broke on SCBB’s Giant Dipper so I was hoping the cheap pay as you go phone would survive. It did at least the 4 rides before ert! As for the rest of the park, it was basically a straight street rode with random rides built along it (like Clementon). They had Chaos, which was a lot of fun (I miss Clementon’s). I think I rode it 5x! There claw was fun & their bumper cars were the disk shaped that were found everywhere on the trip. Around 5 o’clock we had dinner & ert on Flow Rider! This was awesome! I’ve ridden this at my old job at Sahara Sam’s so I knew what to do. It was fun watching people bail out and almost loose their pants (I nearly did ). Later that night we had ert on Giant Dipper! It was a fun session however I LOST my phone! I forgot to mention the fact that everyone over 21 got free alcohol for like 2 hours & during ert probably kicked my phone, which was under my hat, off the station because my wallet ended up on the other side. Now what am I going to do I think I am cursed by the Giant Dippers. Oh & don’t forget to vote for my Penguin's name! The poll closes next Wednesday! Enjoy the pics & video:

We ended the night with ert on Giant Dipper, which like the Northern Cali Giant Dipper, broke or lost my phone. Belmont was still a fun park & I really enjoyed my time there.

I wish I was 21. On my next TPR trip, which will hopefully be in 2011, I will be!

Day 8: Legoland California & Castle Park:

Thanks for those of you who voted for Captain Morgan as my Penguin's name!

Today was another 2 park day. Legoland California started off the day. We had morning ert on the mouse, the shooting dark ride, & the robo coaster. After that we had a half day to enjoy Legoland & get the other 2 credits. It was a really nice park. I enjoyed the lego sculptures like NYC, Vegas, & Washington D.C. The Dragon was my favorite coaster in the park. It was a fun little coaster with a dark ride mix. After Legoland we hit Castle Park. Castle Park was a fun little park with awesome mini-golf. We basically had the entire park to ourselves. Screamin Demon was interesting. Merlin's Revenge was an average Vekoma Roller Skater, & the kiddie was the kiddie. The park had a fun power tower and a some flats. We had dinner at the Pizza Hut which was awesome! Enjoy the pics & video:
