Huge_Wonderland_Fan Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 This is my park Six Flags Suburbia, I hope you like it, any criticism is wanted Now, here are some screen shots This is about all I have right now, but there will be more ! Remember to comment ! ..and yes I know, the trees aren't random enough. Heres another shot of the ravine/town. Back on the other side of the park is a ravine, which hides the entrance to the Abandoned mine town complete with a mine train roller coaster (sporting a PTC woodie train) Coming around to what is now the back of the park, you will see a sports car ride named "Cruise Control" Just off of "Gotham Street" is an un-named street and behind it is a custom Arrow looper ! Here it is now, with a better shot of "Batman The Rescue" and the Theater, named "Gotham Dome". Just off of the main-street type area is "Gotham Street". A Batman themed area with a B&M and a 3D Theater. This is it in its early stages. The un-named main street area, complete with observation tower. Overview of the park so far.
COASTER FREAK 11 Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Interesting park so far. Also, can you edit your post and upload the photos to TPR please. Though we can see the pics, they're small. And we have to follow the link and then click "view full size" to even see a decent picture. You also might get more comments if you have large (600x800) pics posted. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=655635#655635
Fat-G Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 looks great, you just need a lot more landscaping, not just trees but hills and lakes. try making custom buildings and not just using the same one over and over and this try making buildings like this
Huge_Wonderland_Fan Posted June 24, 2009 Author Posted June 24, 2009 I don't have any expansion packs so my buildings are just... blocks. Its also supposed to be a suburb so I don't think you would be seeing many random blocks. I grew up in this somewhat small suburb and almost all of the houses were the same model I'm not just using one over and over again... its two
netdvn Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Good: - Coaster layouts are great. - Scenery around the car ride is excellent. Bad: - The houses are a bit close together. (especially for a suburb) - The park needs more color. - Needs more food/drink stalls Suggestions: - Add more flowers to make the park look nicer. Also increase the scenery around the coasters as well. Add trees, flowers, and theming around the rides. - Increase the space between the houses. Most suburban areas have huge front and back yards. - A lot of suburban developments use different model homes. I'm pretty sure RCT1 has more than one type of house you can use. - I believe RCT1 also comes with roof and wall tiles as scenery. You can create buildings using those without getting any expansion packs. - Your coasters might need final brake runs to keep your coasters from crashing when they break down. - Food, drink, and bathroom stalls are very important, but I think you'll add them later so I'll let that slide... Overall: - Good start for an RCT1 park. Add more scenery to make everything look nicer and you'll have a great park.
Huge_Wonderland_Fan Posted June 25, 2009 Author Posted June 25, 2009 ^ I believe you can only get windows and doors with expansion packs, if not can you tell me where to find them in the game ? I'm actually using two types of houses, the only ones that came with it.
netdvn Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Its been a while since I've played RCT1 so my memory is a bit fuzzy, but I believe walls/roof tiles are under the scenery button. If you can't find walls/roofs, you could always raise the land and use footpaths as the rooftops and I think you can also recolor the walls, but I'll have to check up on that...
Fat-G Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 with the exspansion packs there are some walls but not for buildings but still with basic RCT1 you can raise the land to create walls and foot paths for roofs. its easy still good job though
