Thelegendarymatthew Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 After finishing Enchanted Adventures I decided to make a new park, but I didn't want to be with the same scenery so I asked DBru off of TPR/Coaster-net if he could help me with my scenario scenery picks, because I hate scenery picking, and I always have the same troubles picking between one object, and another. He gave me a blank scenario and with a lot of useful scenery in it. here is a link to the un-edited scenario. I just added some scenery I needed to have, and changed the rides and paths. The size of the edited scenario is 165*165. Again, Thanks! Now, on to the park! ---------------------------------------- As owner of the "MCC (Matthew Coaster Co.) and Enchanted Entertainment, I thought it would be a good idea to start another park after a huge success with Enchanted Adventures. Then we found a large plot of land located in Mississippi, so we won't have to deal with other park company's such as Busch, Six Flags Inc, and Cedar Fair being in the ways of our business. We have decided that the new parks name will be Cedar Woods. I hope this park becomes a hit as Enchanted Adventures did (I'm going to try to be fun, and make the updates seem like there from an over excited enthusiast) O M G! I'm so freaking excited! After the lost of Six Flags New Orleans, I'm so glad that theres going to be another park in the driving area. Whats great is that this park is not going to be 2 hours away from me! Its only going to be 25mins away from me, which is even more exciting. After looking at the reviews from Enchanted Adventures, I'm expecting some good stuff coming out of this park! While driving by, I noticed that the park ended up taking the place of the local fair that had a couple of rides, and even a few fairground coasters. I only got a few pictures, but here it is! ^That entrance looks pretty good, reminds me of Cedar Points. ^There taking down Carnival Coaster Well I'll make a post here if I see anything come up. Thanks! -Matthew K.
Stoksy Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Eventhough there are only two screenshots, the park still looks really good. I like the feel of this park already, keep up the good work TLM.
BelgianGuy Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Will you use CS for this one? Anyway your entrance area looks very good and its good work tearing down an SLC, they hurt
Steffen_Dk Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Why are you removing the Carnical Coaster? It looks good... EDIT. Happy 2000th post to me
Thelegendarymatthew Posted April 14, 2009 Author Posted April 14, 2009 Stoksy-Thanks BelgiumGuy-No,and thanks Steffen_DK-Its a fairground SLC, do you think its safe? Oh yeah, for the future, I don't want anyone to think that this is a time line park. ----------------------------------- Cedar Woods - Today we have finished one of our coasters that will be to the right of the entrance area. It is also by a log flume which we have based of the two Virginian log flumes. These rides are called "Wild Woods Mine Train" and "Buzz Saw Falls" Well the park is coming along pretty nice. The new coaster is a bit intense for a little family coaster. The log flume is also pretty fun too, but the drops could of been steeper. Heres some pictures I took of the park. ^Yay! No more Carni Coaster ^The transfers are located right before the lift hill ^This ride blends in well with the forest setting ^The station reminds be of BGEs log flumes. ^The layout even reminds me a bit of it ^but its still a great ride Thanks, and I'll inform you more later. -Matthew K.
netdvn Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 The scenery and the theming look very detailed. Well Done!
Steffen_Dk Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 The kiddie coaster looks really really good; as you mention, it blends very well with the forest (I guess it's its green colours that do it). I like coasters that are hidden The log flume looks great too, however, I think it could look even better, if you made the terrain flow with it, if you get me?
Thelegendarymatthew Posted April 15, 2009 Author Posted April 15, 2009 Ok, funs over. I dont feel like doing the point of views from myself, the park owner, and an enthusiast. Instead I'm mainly going to focus my updates on the new screens. Right now I have made a shuttler, and a construction teaser. I will tell you the name of the shuttler does not make sense, and will be changed if I can find a better name. If anyone wants to help me. . . . 1) The color scheme has to stay the same 2) The location is going to be where it is 3) It needs to sound original, and generic name(Nothing with the word "loop" in it) If I do use your name, I'll give you the credit you deserve Heres the images. ^Originally I was planning on making this from the Guests POV, but I canceled that, so if anyone asks why theres a tilted whil right there, its because the construction of the "mini" coaster will more than likely interacte with the ride. ^ . . . . .Frozen Thunder ^Does anyone even read these captions? ^World Theater ^Overview -Matthew K.
ReadySetGo! Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Good job with your buildings, scenery, and rides. Maybe you can add something to the world theatre so it doesn't deliver like a box...I agree with Steffen about the log fume terrain. You're doing a fine job so far though
Stoksy Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Personally I think that Frozen Thunder is a good name, however if you really want to change it, you could name it Wave Runner, or Western Gorge.
DBru Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Blue Thunder would be much more fitting, IMO. But the park is looking good! Only one suggestion: try to do something with the theater so that the exit station isn't showing...
Thelegendarymatthew Posted April 17, 2009 Author Posted April 17, 2009 Recently my computer has been acting up, and unfortunately its the one with RCT2. It has always been slow and crappy, but know its up to the point that loading the game up takes around 5 mins sometimes. I know that people are going to say "deal with it and give me more updates", but I don't really want to mess with the computer any more. For right now I'm removing programs I don't use, but that is very difficult seeing how RCT2, Aim, Skype, Paint.Net, Quick Cam, Windows Office, and Mozilla are the only "extra" programs I have. Now, I still have my laptop which has always been 10 times faster compared to my computer, and it has also had more room. My Computer (80GB) vs Laptop (355GB) If you know me you know where this is heading. . . . . . I will be slowly adapting to RCT3, because RCT2 doesn't work on it for some reason. I know that my RCT3 skills are bad, and I normally drop out of the park because (its too slow, it erased my data, etc.). On this laptop it runs much more faster, and I'm going create many game files, which I should of done to begin with. I can make it run faster by keeping the "peeps" in the park, and turning down the graphics card, plus Iso mode makes it a bit faster, and easier for me to use. Agian if you have a problem, then you need to get over it because this is mine. Plus, I'm doing something nice for you all, instead of killing the park. I'm switching it over to the other game. Hey, it could be RCT1! Oh yeah, if you know where I can find any Guides that help with supports and buildings let me know. -Matthew "No more scenery limitations!" K.
