Stoksy Posted April 24, 2009 Author Posted April 24, 2009 ^haha I will look into that, thanks. It might be a bit late to change the Water Park coaster, but I will try to make my buildings more "out there" with the Batman coaster and future rides, buildings etc. Again, thanks for bringing this to my attention.
hydra Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 I agree with the Batman coaster. Use larger elements. It wil look better. And I have to say. Coming from a gay guy...Super Hero Village sounds really gay. LOL...maybe Gotham, or Metropolis, something more unique. Something to think about.
netdvn Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 You could change the elevation of the land around the Batman coaster, that way you don't really need to lower the track. You should take out the small loop and replace it with a larger loop since it looks kinda ackward. You could also add some buildings around the ride so it doesn't look very plain. Â As for the rest of the superhero area, you should add a lot more scenery like buildings and plants around the area to make it appear less empty, but assuming that you're not finished with the area, I'll let that slide.
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 I do agree with the big slope before the loop, put a big loop and things would be a bit smoother. The trains do look a little weird on the X-Man coaster, but they're not that bad. Mmmm..... B&M coaster with S&S trains... it's actually pretty cool.
BelgianGuy Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 REWORK THOSE CUSTOM SUPPORTS PLZ, I don't wanna be harsch but they don't look anywhere near good, to get good custom supports you have to use zero clearances because you'll be able to build them right into the coaster if you know what I mean, take a look at some real coasters to get an idea how your supports should look in the first place, I did the same with all my coasters in BGSA and I think it'll give your park a more realistic feel that way.
Stoksy Posted April 27, 2009 Author Posted April 27, 2009 IMPORTANT Â Again, thankyou very much for all the helpful comments. However, I will not be able to work on the park for a while because school starts tomorrow for me, and as it is the start of one of the major terms (more homework etc.) I will be unable to do too much work on the park. Therefore I am asking all people watching this topic to remember that it is still online, eventhough there will not be many comments or updates from me for a while. Â I am sorry that there will not be many updates, but if I have a spare hour or weekend here and there I will try to respond to any comments that come in during the ten weeks I am at school. Â Thankyou to everyone who has commented, they are greatly appreciated. Stoksy
Stoksy Posted May 1, 2009 Author Posted May 1, 2009 I do have a free weekend this week so I have begun work on revamping the Batman coaster, which is coming along nicely. Â The following pictures will show my progress so far, as I have not finished any suggestions are welcome. SCR194.BMP The bigger loop as well as a tunnel. SCR196.BMP Bushes etc. surrounding the majority of the layout, some of the custom supports are also included in this screenshot. SCR198.BMP An overview of the entrance area. Is this better themeparkman? SCR195.BMP I leave you with an overview of the ride. Remember to comment on the park, as this will be one of only a few free weekends.
netdvn Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 The supports on the lift and heartline look more B&M-ish, but it looks over-supported. Take out some of the fat supports and it will look better.
themeparkman25 Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Station looks a ton better, and I didn't mean to be harsh sounding in my earlier comments, just telling you how I felt about the ride and the park. The park is looking good.
BelgianGuy Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 Maybe rework the surrounding foliage of the invert because its all schrub and no trees
dmaxsba2408 Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 I like the little cut in the land the coaster dives into, how about making it a deeper trench? I agree it does seem over supported and under tree'd.
Tchu Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 I think the last few posts have covered it. The trench is a nice touch, and the larger loop was a good move. Â The custom supports for the zero-G roll are nice, but a few of them could probably be cut. Right now, the supports look good... just too plentiful. Â And I'd work in some trees. I like the use of the shrubs, but some trees (in various sizes and shapes) would improve the look of the landscape. Â The station looks really good. Overall, Batman has definitely improved! Â Also wanted to say (better late than never) that I love The Hulk Coaster. The 'improvised' Pretzel loop into a trench looks great. Seems like a fun layout, and I love the station, with the giant Hulk statue situated right between the entrance & exit. Â Nice work, Stoksy!
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 The larger loop looks *much* better! You did a nice job with retracking other parts of the ride as well. Overall, a nice improvement.
Stoksy Posted May 2, 2009 Author Posted May 2, 2009 Update time... Â Thankyou all for all the feedback, just a small update today. Â I have been able to touch up the Batman coaster and have added two S&S shot towers (I think that's what they are). Â Sorry, I don't have any pics of the shot towers I will try to post them tomorrow. SCR200.BMP Overview of the Batman coaster. Â 200th screenshot
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Still looking good. How many blocks does Batman have? Just wondering....
Stoksy Posted May 2, 2009 Author Posted May 2, 2009 ^I'm not sure, I think it's about a 1000. (If your talking about the length). Â YAY We have officially reached double figures.
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 ^Oh, I meant block sections. Do you know how many of those are on the ride?
themeparkman25 Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 Haha that is funny. It looks like there is one block after the loop, hopefully one on the final brakes, the station, and the lift giving a total of four blocks. But that is just me guessing from what I can see.
Stoksy Posted May 2, 2009 Author Posted May 2, 2009 ^Yes, that is correct, however the first block section (after the station and lift hill) is much closer to the two corkscrews than the loop. You are correct however, just pointing that out. Â I know this is a bit off topic, but, how do you change the caption under what you've called the topic? I think having "it has the jaskyrider in it lol" is a bit old.
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted May 2, 2009 Posted May 2, 2009 ^Edit your first post and change the title.
Stoksy Posted May 17, 2009 Author Posted May 17, 2009 As promised here is a pic of the two S&S shot towers, however my camera was acting up so the pics are grey. OMG! A look at the two shot towers.
netdvn Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Batman looks much better, although I still think it's a little too high off the ground. Â Did you finish the Superhero area yet? Last time I saw it it seemed incomplete. Â The S&S Towers look great so far... I can't wait to see everything else.
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Small suggestion: Just for it to look a little bit more realistic, might I suggest putting a small top on the tower? It would make it look a little better IMO.
Stoksy Posted May 24, 2009 Author Posted May 24, 2009 Thanks for the comments guys. However, this park will be on hold for a while due to school and a lack of inspiration. Â I'm really sorry to everyone who is watching this topic, I hope you understand.
