Stoksy Posted April 21, 2009 Author Posted April 21, 2009 More pictures of the wing rider coaster coming this afternoon, just giving you all a heads up.
paintballer Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 Whats wrong with a little praise? When I make parks, I don't post an update unless people post!
Stoksy Posted April 21, 2009 Author Posted April 21, 2009 The construction of Wing Rider is complete and I have heard rumours that Stoks Co. are one ride away from the GRAND OPENING. Here are the pictures of Wing Rider as well as some more landscaping around the park, enjoy the update, comment and criticise if you wish. SCR165.BMP Station. SCR168.BMP Ride overview. SCR169.BMP More hacking lol. SCR170.BMP Park overview with Wing Rider's stats. SCR171.BMP More landscaping, less tree repetitiveness.
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 Can I get a close-up pic of the Wing Rider train? It looks a bit different....
Stoksy Posted April 21, 2009 Author Posted April 21, 2009 ^Sure, it's the jaSkyRider train, which will be included as objdata in the Grand Opening download that's coming soon. SCR172.BMP The jaSkyRider trains.
themeparkman25 Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 17 years and still no guests. I think this is Hard Rock Park v2.0
Stoksy Posted April 21, 2009 Author Posted April 21, 2009 ^I'm just trying to get all the rides built and tested before opening.
dmaxsba2408 Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 So thats what a "jaSkyRider" is. COOL, I had no idea. Is this something new or something old that I've never seen before? This is what happens when you (meaning me) stay in your own little world to much. Things get missed. Thanks for sharing it! I have to ask, is there still someone out there making new items (trains, flats, whatever) for this game?
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 ^I don't make them, but I have several custom flats, stalls, and other rides that are awesome! I have everything from the Chaos! ride to the Tilt-A-Whirl to custom stalls that sell many items! If you want them, I can send anyone a copy of a park with many of them.
Stoksy Posted April 22, 2009 Author Posted April 22, 2009 GRAND OPENING The grand opening of Excitement Point was TODAY!!! one whole day early. Rides were running smoothly and we had over 100 guests come in around half an hour, amazing. There is a download with all the objdata necessary, including the jaSkyRider and Giga Looper trains. Enjoy.
Stoksy Posted April 22, 2009 Author Posted April 22, 2009 If anyone is missing objdata, PM me and will post them for download. I hope you all like the park.
dmaxsba2408 Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 Somthings wrong with the ZIP, its not a ZIP its a GZ File whatever that is. It's not a saved game file I know that for shur.
Stoksy Posted April 22, 2009 Author Posted April 22, 2009 ^Sorry about that, I'll post another download later today. You'll need to save these files first because when I was trying to play some games on my computer all the DAT files now open with Adobe reader, however they will not affect the game. AExcitement PointOpen.SV6 This is the park only. By Stoksy. CLSKYBKT.DAT SkyBuckets objdata. JAGIGLT.DAT Giga Looper trains objdata. jaSkyRdr.DAT The SkyRider trains that cannot be found anywhere else.
dmaxsba2408 Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 The file is perfect now thanks for fixing it. Seem to be missing a "HPRDHOGX". Have any idea what it is? Sorry to be a pain, this seems to happen to me a lot. I'd say I only get about 2 out of every 5 parks I download to open. Always missing something. No big deal if you don't want to mess with it. Like I said it happens to me all the time.
Stoksy Posted April 23, 2009 Author Posted April 23, 2009 ^Yeah, it's the Hogwarts express train, I seem to be forgetting things, sorry about that. HPRDHOGX.DAT Is this the one.
Stoksy Posted April 23, 2009 Author Posted April 23, 2009 After the grand opening Stoks Co. started work on a new area: Superhero Village, at the moment they have built a coaster (Interestingly hacked), a thrill ride (Chaos ride made by the Amazing Earl), a spin dizzy (by Kahlua17) and a small restaurant. Now on to the pictures... SCR179.BMP The entrance to Superhero Village. Credit goes to the creator of Grand Central for the idea. SCR181.BMP The spin dizzy ride and Green Lantern: Glow in the Dark chaos ride. SCR182.BMP A picture of Batman's Diner and the entrance to the coaster; Wolverine: The X-Man. SCR180.BMP I leave you with a park overview and a teaser of the latest coaster.
dmaxsba2408 Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 How about a "RBTnkRb" Really if you don't want to bother with I do understand. Like the up date. Have had the super heros for a long time and have yet to use them in a park.
Stoksy Posted April 23, 2009 Author Posted April 23, 2009 ^What do you mean, about the superheros that is? RBTnkRbl.DAT This is the one.
dmaxsba2408 Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 The Super Man, Bat Man, and so on. Have had them since the Cougar guy made them years ago. Have just never used them in a park yet. Thanks for the files, got the park to open. Going to go have a look around.
Stoksy Posted April 24, 2009 Author Posted April 24, 2009 Another update. Today I will show you more pictures of Wolverine: The X-Man and the newly installed Batman roller coaster. Enjoy the pictures, comment and criticise. SCR183.BMP Queue line entrance. SCR186.BMP Cool trains don't you think?! SCR187.BMP My reasonably good custom supports. SCR193.BMP Stats and more supports, as well as the trains. SCR189.BMP Queue entrance to Batman: Final Frontier. SCR191.BMP Overview. SCR192.BMP Batman with stats. What do you think?
Pufferfish Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 The park still looks good, just a couple comments from me. One, those trains just really don't look good on B&M track. I really like the layout and colors, but the trains are a bit much. Also, Batman looks very unrealistic. The long upwards slope before the loop is just not an attribute on any B&M invert. I'd just use the large loop and just have long straight sections that you can use for some good close encounters with the ground. That's one more thing I don't really like about it, it lacks close encounters which always intensify an invert. I'd move the track down a few feet. Also the queue looks very large and empty. Give it some fences or shrubs. Also, the big empty spot in the center of the ride is a little bad, it could use some trees or landscaping. Otherwise good job and keep it up, you're getting much better.
themeparkman25 Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 ^I agree for the most part, but Batman is a twisted hunk of B&M engineering and this is roller coaster tycoon. There is only so much you can do with the 12 or whatever pieces that you have to make a coaster. I think it looks pretty good, for a recreation in RCT. I think you could work on your buildings a little and keeping the park a little bit tighter and better themed, but your still getting better. Keep it up.
Stoksy Posted April 24, 2009 Author Posted April 24, 2009 ^&^^Thankyou for the comments, I was thinking about moving the track down, however I didn't want the track to be that close to the ground. I will look into the track being nearer to the ground. themeparkman - How could I improve the buildings? Should I be making them more interesting by building windows, doors etc. or do I need to add more shapes and colours? Pufferfish - What trains would you prefer? The reason I used those trains is because I wanted the ride to look different and unique, however I understand where you are coming from about the trains.
themeparkman25 Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Ya dude, just some word for thought. I just think your buildings could use some more shape and texture. For example, the water park is all 90 degree angles and the same color with the same windows. Throw a curve ball in there, mix things up a little bit! Have some fun! I have enjoyed following this park, though it seems you never sleep.
