Speeddeamon128 Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 For 4 years my parents leased a 2005 Cadillac Escalade. That was an awesome car & I loved it. I got to drive the Escalade to school for a year before I got my car & on family road trips I would stretch out my legs & sleep in the back seat. However the lease was up & my brother & I are going to college soon so we don't really need it anymore. Also the payments on the car were over $700 a month. Since I own my 2008 Dodge Avenger SXT, my Dad drives are old 1989 Chevy Silverado, & my brother will get my Mom's 2008 Nissan Altima this will be my Mom’s new car which is a brand new 2009 Saturn Outlook. I took a few pictures of our Escalades last day in our family. I am going to miss this in our driveway. My brother's car. Dad's car. My baby! One more drive for this car. I'm going to miss that back seat. Time for the trade. Bye old friend I wish my parents were getting this That is what we came here for. The back of the new Outlook. The front. I'll post more pics later. The new car drives nice but I miss the Cadillac. Thanks for reading!
ParkTrips Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Though its not a Cadillac, the new generation of Saturns are pretty nice. Much better than the ones that came out of the first half of the decade, too bad the brand is in limbo
AllenA07 Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 ^I love my 02 SL2 thank you very much. Coming from a '92 Ford Tempo basically anything short of a little-tyke car is a substantial upgrade.
Hotlanta Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Too bad GM announced that Saturn is getting no new products and the dealers are trying to spinoff saturn into it's own seperate entity. Nice choice for the new car by the way. The outlook and it's twins the Enclave and Acadia are excellent. I have driven the Enclave and it's an awesome cruiser for trips.
ebl Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 ^ Funny...according to Consumer Reports, reliability for all of the above isn't so hot. And Saturn started off as its own entity, only to end up being merged into GM as yet another brand. I kinda liked the GMC Acadia, but have not test driven one as of yet. Eric
DeliriumTrigger Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 ^Actually...Saturn was started as a wholly-owned subsidiary of GM in 1985.
