I'll be in LA/SoCal this october (5 days - extended weekend), just curious about hitting both the parks and their halloween events..When do the parks usually start with the haloween festivites?? Also a question for the SoCallers here: Who makes the better burger, Tommys or In N Out?

The Halloween events usually start the last weekend of September or the first weekend of October. I would reccomend Halloween Horror Nights as the "MUST SEE" Halloween Event in So Cal and then Knott's Haunt 2nd. Actually, I would hit Haunt first so that it won't seem like a total let down after HHN!

As for the burgers I'm not a big fan of either In N' Out or Tommy's. I personally think In N Out is one of the most overrated hamburgers ever and the only reason I think people find it special is because it only exists in a small area. IMO, if this burger was nationwide it would be about as popular as Burger King in the "No Big Deal" department.

As a Californian, I don't mind going there when someone is in town and wants to try it, but you don't find me going there on my own. I don't hate the place, but I just don't think it's all it's cracked up to be.

There is an In N' Out just a couple exists south of Six Flags Magic Mountain so you can try it out there.

I think Chik-fil-A has the best burgers in the country. But I can't hate In-N-Out since I met the owners of the franchise last week since we are building a store for them in Arizona.

And I agree with Robb on the Haunt schedule. Do Knott's first...nothing special but still a good scare.

LOL Jimmy on the chic-fil-a comment. I agree with ya robb, In-N-Out is slightly overrated, as I had them in vegas last summer. Not bad, but not something id eat weekly....Id prefer a chiliburger from Tommys, as I like chili and burger

Schedulewise, Its look like i'll be in LA metro the second week of october...im looking at making a plan of attack to hit the Mouse Nation/Knotts in Anaheim, USH and then SFMM in Valencia. Also, im debating on where to stay, as my sis-in law and her husband live near glendale (near the ventura)...any thoughts??

I think In and Out's fries are awesome, while the burgers are pretty good.

More of a Carl's Jr. man when it comes to fast-food burgers, myself.

Ok...heres another question on this thread, LAX or Burbank? Im finding cheaper flights to LAX but Burbank is right down the road from my sister in laws place, as she lives in glendale...any thoughts?

If you can afford Burbank, by all means go for it! It's a tiny airport, super easy, and most importantly it's NOT LAX!

However, I wouldn't spend more than $50 or make an extra stop for Burbank.

^^^ Yeah Robb, Southwest flies there from Dallas Love, as well as AA from DFW Im wanting to avoid LAX, as ive heard its a huge pain in the backside.
