Meeting Dolly at Dollywood

Hello.

 

I'm planning a trip to Dollywood for this year. Since I absolutely LOVE Mrs. Parton...and would absolutely LOVE to get a chance to meet her.....I saw years ago on the Travel Channel that she makes appearances at DW.

 

My question is, does she make regular scheduled appearances...if not, have you've been there when she made an appearance?

She is there a few times during the year, but you can expect her to be there opening weekend or if a big media event is planned.

Just beware that the park is usually insanely crowded when she is there announced.

As a former Dollywood employee I am going to go out on a limb and say she is rarely there. She will go to the park for the opening of some of the festivals, ride openings, and concerts (all of which do not happen often). She even doesn't record most of the promo stuff in the park. It is green screen.

^I'm shooting for early in the season....perhaps May"ish"...unless she tends to show up more regularly during the summer months. (I'm a huge fan and would just love the chance to see/meet her).

I know my mother-in-law goes up to see her in concert there once a year, and if memory serves me correctly, it's usually later in the season. So there's definitely at least one appearance.
