So I'm suppose to fly to Baltimore for Labor Day weekend, but it just doesn't seem like things are going to work out.

Has anyway tried to get a refund from SouthWest Airlines before?

Can I get a refund with no hassles or should I just forget the $200 I spent for the flight?

Thanks!

^^ There is probably no chance you'll get a refund, but Southwest IS very good at allowing you to keep that credit towards another flight without ANY penalties, which is good!

Most airlines will charge $50 to $100 if you want to change your flight, whereas at least Southwest lets you keep the full fare amount and use it towards another flight.

So if you want your money back, I wouldn't count on it, but at least you CAN use that money towards another flight.

Actually Southwest is the best airline for stuff like that! You cannot get a refund but you can have that money put back in like a 'temporary' account on Southwest to use anytime in the next 12 months.

What you could do is go to BWI and just make a scene to get on Airline, like the guy with the invisible wife who was stepped on by a Southwest employee!

AIRLINE! Why did SouthWest agree to do this show for A&E, I don't know? It really scares me to think that people like that are on the show, sitting side-by-side with me in the air.

One more reason to avoid SouthWest and pay an extra $50 for an assigned seat and fly another airline.

HAHA seriously, you would think that with all the crazies on the show that the show would be hurting Southwest's business instead of being an advertising ploy.

^After watching AIRLINE! then INTERVENTION... I don't know. I'll just sit in peace and watch FAMILY PLOTS and not think about it.

Haha, after hearing some bad things about AmericaWest, I'd just fly United, even though I did get in a fight with a foreign woman at the ticket counter in Dulles. Sounds good, it is strange to think that the funeral business runs in my family and I can't stand to think about it.

I usually fly United. They have the shortest flights from Sacramento to Cleveland so I can make my trips to Cedar Point during the season. Usually around a 6 hour flight, vs 8 or 9 hours.

Next Cedar Point Trip: Oct 7th to the 9th.

Rather Fly American or Southwest, at least they are making profits .. in fact, it's scary the three Texas based airlines are the only ones besides jetBlue in the US making a profit ..

Plus American is pretty much the only choice here .. but cheap fares are good.

I finally used my credit on Southwest and still have $25 left .. American I have a $262 credit from a cancelled LAX trip, but they charge $50 to use that towards another credit.

I'm not a big fan of America West either... ecspecially when I have to stop or leaving Las Vegas. LATE, LATE, LATE, LATE, LATE! I would hate to see them operate in Chicago. Yikes!, O'Hare is a nightmare for me.

i didn't think that American was making a profit, oh well... Anyway we didn't have too much trouble in O'hare in March besides everyone being rude. And we had to sit on the ground and wait for our gate.
