kamikazewatermelon
So, Here's my first park that I've bothered to show on these forums. I've been working on it already for a few months. It's named for the UGLYDOLL brand of toys, it's not an ugly park. And finally an overview of the park. First one to guess what i've been covering up gets a 5 gallon Jar of Mayo (blecchhh!) It IS hinted in one of the pictures. Merry Olde England at night. Inside of Wage's Deli Confectionery's second floor Confectionery's first floor Inside of the British Souvenir Shoppe Right here is Wedgehead's Inversion: an Eyerly Loop-O-Plane and the British Souvenir Shoppe MOXY Spin n' Puke is a HUSS enterprise located behind the confectionery. More pretty pictures of Merry Olde England. The tallest building houses Jolly Good Show! a 3-D cinema Night Flyer: AT NIGHT! Ice-Bat Night Flyer's station Moving on to the Merry Olde England area, we have Ice Bat Night Flyer, an S&S Arrow suspended coaster. Well that dumb red thing just happens to be Abima's Crazy Arm, the world's first robocoaster on a track. There's that dumb red thing again, taking up valuable picture space The really amazing Steakhouse Grill with some dumb red thing jutting into the picture As you walk along the midway there are lots of carnival games to play. Turning left from the enterance you come across the first themed area:The Midway Inside the enterance I see areas to lounge in the shade and a fountain show that goes off hourly. I was given a media pass so I can enter the park before its grand opening. Right now I'm walking up to the enterance from the underwater tunnel that provides access to the island. Oh, and being an eco-friendly park we pay close attention to the nutrition of our local sealife
triggernel
Great park, the scenery looks great, along with the buildings, please add more updates soon.
the ghost
great so far.
KPWoCkAxX
Looks pretty good to me. I'll be watching this one.
Steffen_Dk
Most of the buildings are really nice, and so are the coasters. But the randomly placed billboards (as I see it) kind of ruin the feeling. Remove some of them, or at least make them smaller.
kamikazewatermelon
^ can you give me some examples? I'll see what I can do about the ones on Ice-Bat but The one on Moxy's spin n' puke is hidden from view. (It's behind a building) so it isn't really out of place. Thanks everyone for the comments. Is anyone gonna guess the hidden coaster?
DBru
I can't find the hint in the pictures...lol But this is looking great!
kamikazewatermelon
Just another hint: If you knew how to cheat in the "Name That Park" thread, you'll know how to guess the hidden coaster. C'mon guys, I'm practically giving this away here!
DBru
In that case...I'm guessing a racing woodie?
Steffen_Dk
The logo by Moxy and the one you've noticed yourself.
kamikazewatermelon
DBru you are correct! The coaster and the new area will be shown after the weekend. Your Prize, as promised: 5 gallons of man's most disgusting creation!
Six Flags Enthuseast
^Ummm........... Uhhhh............ I agree! Anyways, I like the park! I think the random signs are ok, the racing woodie should be revealed soon, and the random British souvenir shops in a Hawiian park is just weird! That's great in my book! kamikazewatermelon
Hey everyone, Here's my new update finally. First, a press release: NOVEMBER 21 2008:CCI (Custom Coasters International) has just unveiled Ugly Island's third (or fourth) Coaster:Bop & Beep's Racers a racing wooden coaster which has a combination of twister and out & back elements to produce a unique ride with both great airtime and extreme laterals. "I had a great time on Bop & Beep's Racers!" ~Some guy we paid to promote our ride So with that, I give you pictures. I tried to scale down the Night Flyer billboard as Steffen had requested. In other news, Wedgehead's Inversion has a new logo, and... And finally, the layout showing the ride's unique first drop. The brakes Epic POV shot Coming up to the queue you can choose to ride on either the Bop side, or the Beep side With the new coaster also comes Pirates' Village, The park's next themed area. Six Flags Enthuseast
Hmm............ Interesting. Very strange first drop indeed. Where'd you get the side woodie brakes? Very cool! Keep up the good work!
DBru
The whole new area is very nice, including the racing woodies. Not big on the colors, though...
kamikazewatermelon
^^Those "side woodie brakes" are just side-friction track overlayed with options.txt cheats. They also aren't really supposed to look like brakes. That's the part following the brakes and I kinda only overlayed the track because it looked cool. ^ The colors will probaby stay. they're the colors of the characters it's themed to. I may change the white though.
Six Flags Enthuseast
^Maybe you could change it to be themed to other characters, like that blue one. What's its name? I forgot! There are quite a few of those guys!
kamikazewatermelon
^ I don't know of any characters that would fit a racer better. Bop & Beep are actually connected with each of their faces on opposite sides. Hope that makes sense!
KPWoCkAxX
^How about Tom & Jerry?
Six Flags Enthuseast
^He's talking about the Ugly Doll characters. But that would work well in a 'Famous Classic TV Cartoons' themed park. Nice idea.....
kamikazewatermelon
^Correctamundo I was away this week so not much is new but I do have some good pics. A Silhouette-ish shot of the park. I might use this as a base for the park's logo. Artsy sunset shot of the beach. A nice sunset shot of Moxy's Spin n' Puke showing the gardeny queue behind it Due to requests from KPWoCkAxX and Six Flags Enthuseast I've changed Bop & Beep's Racers' colors. I think it looks pretty good. The pink & green are staying, though.
Six Flags Enthuseast
^I agree with the sunset/mountain as a park logo. The racing woodie looks better with brown instead of white. Nice job!
DBru
Yes, the colors are much better, now. And I like the last screenshot!
kamikazewatermelon
Thanks for the comments, everyone. I finally had a lot of time to play so I've got an update for you! Bear in mind that a lot in these pictures is unfinished and will look better in the future. Here you go: So I guess that's it for today. Hopefully this downpour won't halt for too long. I'll update as soon as the rain subsides. As a rainstorm started to come through, I had to take shelter in Bop & Beep's station Oh No! we're gonna hit the rocks! A super amazing POV of Lighthouse I've added some rocks to dress up the coastline. Also anew restaurant is under construction, The Sea Shack. And with that comes Lighthouse, an old Helter-Skelter we took from a European Fair Circuit. It's sure to be a hit with the juniors. New for now is The Docks of Pirates' Village. Six Flags Enthuseast
Wow, that's an awesome location for the slide! You can see the ocean and may hit the wall while riding it. An interesting effect........ And the harbor looks cool too!
