Angry_Gumball Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 So, I started this several months back, and after riding this thing like 8 times or so yesterday, I got re-motivated to continue working on this...which is mainly support work now, and some minor tweaks to make it smooth. Here's some screenshots, maybe I'll go as far as giving the wheel covers the correct shark/eagle textures the ride actually has. Enjoy & comment! Steffen_Dk Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 ^Agree; that helix/turn thing over the water looks like it brings a lot if G's (in the good way).
Alix Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 It looks really great ! Congratulations ! But do you use the AHG or other software ? If not, it's really great
Angry_Gumball Posted November 4, 2008 Author Posted November 4, 2008 All hand made! I don't like/know how to use that other stuff.
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Please tell me you are going to fix the connections between your support beams. But other than that, it looks REALLY good!
Angry_Gumball Posted November 6, 2008 Author Posted November 6, 2008 You're talking about where the beams connect and look funky? Yea, I'll fix those so they look more realistic instead of looking like a tube that got snapped.
KPWoCkAxX Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 I don't know if you noticed but you've posted the same picture twice and in one of the pictures there's a floating ladder. Looks pretty accurate to me! Good job, I'm looking forward to seeing this finished!
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 ^Its not the same picture, the train is in a different location each time.
KPWoCkAxX Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 ^ Oh yeah! Thanks for pointing that out. I'm stupid!

Good job, I'm looking forward to seeing this finished! The floating ladder...that will go on the side of the lift at some point. I was just putting it together somewhere away from the coaster so I don't accidentally pull the wrong nodes.
coastb2 Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Fix them like this and you will have an amazing coaster Aiolos-081106191257000.bmp Correct way to connect supports.
