Bolliger&Mabillard
Had a couple of hours to kill and a free ticket from a friend, so we figured "why the hell not, let's go to Knott's!" Parking was easy, and we got to the main gate to find that there was somewhat of a line at the one ticket booth that was still open. It was about 5:30, so that "ride warriors" commercial must be working. You know, the one that advertises 10 coasters even though they only have 9 including Timberline Twister, but that's beside the point. Our first stop was Silver Bullet. No wait, but went down as soon as it was our turn to get on. Sucks, don't it? Our next Stop was Xcelerator. Running with a low-level RTL, but it still ran like a champ. That RTL never became a solid RTL so we were on and off in two cycles. After that we headed to Ghostrider. Copper Train is back from rehab, as that train usually only surfaces right before Haunt. I dare not to ride it. After that we headed to Pony Express. Fun ride but way too short. Up next was Log ride. I'm not a big fan of walking around in wet clothes, but there aren't many parts that soak you on this ride so I'll ride every here and again. We walked to Montezooma's Revenge. Swartzkophf shuttle loop. Never rode a bad one, and this is the best of the best. No line so three rides back to back. We scuddled off to Jaguar! Closest thing the park will ever have to a mine train coaster, so I guess it's a pass. The kids seem to like it, so why not? Last ride of the night was another trip on Pony. Shoutout to the Pony Express crew for the best efficiency, and guest interaction. Everything else was standard at best, nothing that stood out. Overall it was a fun trip, but nothing except Xcel is worth a big whoop. Buttercup&Sprinkles Cacho&Lil' Bandit YEE-HAA!!! ...-7 ...-6... Score of cleanliness of restrooms: -5... Shot of Bullet, Sidewinder, and Zoom's first spike from Jaguar's station No line at the kitten ride either Look out! It's theming at Knott's! Meow!!! Zoom Zoom! With no one else in line make room, 'cause will be back! Here's that low-level RTL I told you about...never became solid, so YAY!!! High banked goodness Topple that top hat! Red train is blazin' down the track Purple train's a go-go! A world class coaster in a not so world class park Test it out a little Ghost train in Ghost town! ...or as tame Bullet may not be as reliable as many may think... One of these ride ops is not like the other Sky Cabin, which has been down for some time was testing today. It did not open to the public
TheCoasterCritic
Good trip report. Depending on how my SFMM visit goes I may be making a night trip to Knott's tomorrow. Looks like waits will be pretty short. What's 'RTL'?

dpxtreme
I went to Knott's a couple of weeks ago, and I finished the entire park in 2 1/2 hours. Once we were done, we just stayed at Xcelerator all night. IMO, the only good rides at Knott's are Xcelerator, Sierra Sidewinder and maybe Montezooma's and Ghostrider. I didn't like Pony Express or Silver Bullet.
Bolliger&Mabillard
^^^RTL: RIDE TROUBLE LIGHT Indicates there is a discrepancy in the rides PLC. Xcelerator has 3 RTL's Low level RTL: Slow blinking light that indicates correctable problem, will still allow dispatches High level RTL:High blinking light that indicates critical problem, will auto e-stop itself Solid RTL: It's probably done for the rest of the day. Philrad71
Ooooohhh...you broke the cardinal sin at Cedar Fair of taking pics in the bathroom!!!! Nice TR...I would love to visit Knotts one day, despite the fact that it often gets negative reviews. I remember when I went to Disneyland back in the early eighties and wanting to go there instead of Disney! That was back when they had the "original" Corkscrew looping coaster and the biggest coaster there was Montezuma's Revenge!!!!
yankees15
I really want to get out to Knott's just to ride Xcelerator. That coaster look like so much fun! Great photo's of the park. It's a shame it's not as good as people make it out to be.
