At the moment I am using a Sony TRV-18 as a home DV deck, a TRV-19 for shooting off ride, and a HC-30 for onrides.

Thanks guys for helping him out.

I have to be honest, we are more into video than still photos, so our still camera is just a tiny 2 megapixel Sony Cybershot U (but we'll be upgrading to one of the new Cybershots at some point.)

As for video cameras, this is what I'm currently using:

Sony DCR-HC30 and

Sovy TRV-19

Both have a x0.6 wide angle lens.

Hope that helps!

Yeah I picked up a brand new in box Canon ZR200 last night for 270.00 pluse 30.00 shipping (ripoff!). It's a really cool little camera, but it you want to pick up one for a little less, try the ZR100, ZR80, or and JVC, Panasonic, or Samsung. Oh and do it through ebay.com, they have alot of good deals but you need to be careful about what your bidding on. here is a link to a ZR200: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7531730920&category=20330&rd=1

nothing can beat Sony! lol

Not quite.

At least as far as digicams go Sony tends to be overpriced. (especially on the media).

I tend to prefer Canon for digital cameras.

I've got a Panasonic camcorder, though I'm sure the Sony camcorders would work just as well(especially in low light).
