coasterfreak101 Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 I've worked on a few parks since my last one (like, two years ago), but this is the first one I've really been happy with. American Adventures is (allegedly) located in the heartland of Kansas (AKA the middle of nowhere). So without further adieu, here's some pictures of the park after a few years of operation: American Adventures.SV6 And the download of the park in it's current state. Enjoy! SCR11.BMP And finally, an overview of the park. Adventure East is next in line to recieve some much-needed flats. Thanks for reading! SCR10.BMP An overview of the flyer. It's loads of fun, and the supports are just fantastic! Whoever did them is amazing. SCR9.BMP The park recently added Forest Flyer, a B&M flying coaster. The first overbank shows off to those below. SCR8.BMP Unlucky River. For the record, there's 13 boats. It's got a lot of waterfalls. And a twenty-foot drop. SCR7.BMP An overview of Beast. Major airtime to be had, especially on the home stretch. Definately up there with Phoenix. SCR6.BMP Beast, a Grizzly(PKD)-esque coaster, was constructed by The Gravity Group, who contracted Martin&Vleminckx. SCR5.BMP Miniature Forest consists of a kiddie coaster, a spiral slide, and the park's pavillion. Out back are small slides to occupy the kids. SCR4.BMP The park actually blocked off Adventure East that year. Here's an overview of the now-fully operational ride. SCR3.BMP Coaster portion. Sure enough, the first year of operation was limited due to breaking of the belts that pull the car out of the water. SCR2.BMP We'll start with Adventure East. This is my favorite view of Oregon Trail, Premier's second hybrid-coaster. SCR1.BMP Welcome to American Adventures!
the ghost Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 I like it a lot but it is very unrealistic for a silver dollar city park. I love the woodie but am not a huge fan of the invert. Keep building but I zm not that reminded of Silver Dollar City. Great Entrance and buildings.
thomas2 Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 I like the water coaster, but I fear it's a capacity nightmare!
coasterfreak101 Posted June 3, 2008 Author Posted June 3, 2008 ^^"Kansas' Silver Dollar City" was sort of meant more as "Kansas' family-owned park." "Kansas' Knoebels" could've also been there. ^Six cars, each holding six people. So yeah, it kinda is. But so are wild mice and, I'm assuming, the watercoasters currently out there.
DBru Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 I personally love the flyer, and the seclusive feel of the park. Great work!
cinciDAWGS12 Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 I think the buildings in this park are some of the best I've seen. I like the woodie and the water coaster. I also like the feel of the park. This park is going to be great once you add some flats! Btw I'm in love with the entrance!
coasterfreak101 Posted June 3, 2008 Author Posted June 3, 2008 ^ & ^^ Thank you very much! I'm trying to improve more and more, and the forest theme was the easiest to start with. Also, there were probably five flats as of that update, and now there's three more. I worked on filling in those empty spots today, and I'll post what I've put in tomorrow. Off to work...
coasterdude5 Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Looks good. This park makes me want to play RCT2!
coasterfreak101 Posted June 4, 2008 Author Posted June 4, 2008 American Adventures was finished yesterday. There were just a few spots that needed to be filled, and I think that the rides that the park added should make most people happy. A coaster, a (much needed) log flume, and three new flats joined the lineup of American Adventures. So here's the second (and last) update of American Adventures: SCR14.BMP Splashdown, a brand new Intamin log flume (they're attempting to bring back the genre) offers plenty of thrills. SCR13.BMP An overview of the new rides. Kind of shows how the park needed to squeeze a few rides to keep the lineup top-notch. SCR12.BMP Adventure East recently recieved a relocated Schwartzkopf shuttle, a Huss Top Spin, and a smaller ferris wheel. SCR16.BMP And finally an overview. Look for a new park from me to (hopefully) spring up soon. Thanks for reading! SCR15.BMP An overview of the new rides added to Adventure West. QuickShot is a smaller, 100-foot S&S launch tower. American Adventures.SV6 And the (final) download. Enjoy!
DBru Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Great update and great park! Though I feel you could have put more effort into the new flats, the log flume looks amazing! Those supports are just really cool... Can't wait for your next project!
