Loefet Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 I bring you Circulator, my first ever take on a B&M Speed Coaster. I made this coaster to try out my parabola shape I made yesterday. DOWNLOAD Enjoy!
dr.gumbo Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 Well, its smooth as expected from you but other than that, this is very mediocre stuff. I'm under the impresson that you made this purely to test your shapes so if thats the case I'll leave you to it.
Steffen_Dk Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 Have I got it right? Have you just made this in one day or?
Loefet Posted May 11, 2008 Author Posted May 11, 2008 ^^ The B&M Speed coasters I have ridden are very mediocre, so then it must be pretty good ^ Yes I started this ride yesterday, that's the normal timespan for a small project for me. You should see the Intamin Accelerator I made for a comp on another page, a total of 30 hours with many extra features.
Théo the little french Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 Great ride once again: very smooth, perfect Gs (even if there are some yellow Gs) and hills are excellent! There are floating time during a a few seconds!
Loefet Posted May 11, 2008 Author Posted May 11, 2008 ^ Thanks. As long as I'm under 5.5 g's positive then I'm happy. The g-limits in NL is a bit more strict then on the real ones.
DBru Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 I personally thought it was great. There was air on every hill, and...*NO TRIMS*!!!
Théo the little french Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 ^ Thanks. As long as I'm under 5.5 g's positive then I'm happy. The g-limits in NL is a bit more strict then on the real ones. Really?! That's a excellent news! It means I can built realistic and soft rides!
Loefet Posted May 11, 2008 Author Posted May 11, 2008 ^ But it depends on what kind of coaster you build. According to the measurements I have made with an accelerometer on coasters: Vekomas, Intamins easily up to 5.5g B&M usually tops out at around 4-4.5g with a few spikes above that (especially older inverts). So by hitting 4.5 or there abouts with this coaster is perfectly safe.
Steffen_Dk Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 How can you make such a great coaster in so short time?
Loefet Posted May 11, 2008 Author Posted May 11, 2008 I'm able to create these tracks with the help of experience, my track shape tools, my way of smoothing/de-pumping tracks and extreme luck.
