ArrowHater Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 I added a little hill after the predrop to add to the airtime if you ride in the back!! I love the color scheme!! Its soo bright! This is like one of the only B&M hypers I ever made ever! Plus this is one of my favorites! Oh yea this ride is packed with crazy airtime! Shuffle.nltrack
thrillrideseeker Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Great coaster!! I loved the layout, and all of the G's stayed green, plus it passed the tunnel test! The only thing I noticed was... an inversion... on a Hyper... are you sure about that? ~Matthew
ArrowHater Posted April 20, 2008 Author Posted April 20, 2008 What do you mean it stayed red? And that was a "near" inversion. It almost goes upside down=] Well thanks for the constructive criticism!
jarmor Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 You couldnt have picked a better name for this coaster! lol. just kidding, however this coaster needs some work. The inversion needs to be murdered...to be quite frank. The trim...why are there trims on this coaster??? I can see trims at the end of the coaster to slow it down some before hitting the brake run but trims on the top of a hill in the beginning? The run into the MCBR would have made me soo mad if it were a real coaster. The purpose of a MCBR is to give the train some clearence so another can depart. Hitting the MCBR at 40 mph isnt, well, realistic. Also I suggest that all brake runs be atleast 1.5 times the lenth of the trains at a minimum. I would go into more details but im tired. Thanks for posting!
ArrowHater Posted April 20, 2008 Author Posted April 20, 2008 Yeaa the name is pretty "Generic/PLAIN" I just couldn't think of one. Aha. You know what if you guys want to be happier I will change the trains so it will fit in with the "Inversion" ^ Those aren't trims at the end! Those are the first brake run. [if I had a third train] Here I fixed the MCBR. And all those trims. I just tried to make it more realistic jeez. Im not an expert like you. Look at apollos chariot, they have a trim on the top of the lift. Silver Star has trims on its hills. im sorry, this Isn't burger king"Have it your way". I cant make it your way. I tried my best.and i think thats what matters the most. If I think I did well and improved, then I did. I made a new one, to make you a little happier. But the "Inversion" remains the same. jarmor Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 I havent checked out the new one but I wanted to say this to you. Whenever you post a coaster for the public to ride and presumingly rate you occasionally get info that you dont like. Im not saying to coaster has to be my way I was just pointing out what "I" felt was flawed. Indeed those coasters have trims and to this day I dont understand why lol. I mean why design a coaster that needs to be slowed down mid course! Anyway back to your coaster. I know it can be frustrating but I didnt always made good coasters. There was times I wanted to delete nolimits all together but what I did was physically studied different coasters to see how they are designed and how they ride and I start applying that to my coasters!
Théo the little french Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 I didn't have a look on the last one, the first version was good enough to my view... It was smooth and Gs were good in general. You also tried to make some original things and I liked it (even if the "fake inversion" was a bit too much daring). Don't worry about what Jarmor sayd, I think he likes realistic rides and in a way he's right: it's still great to ride a realistic ride...
haux Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 It's not very good. If you're going for realism, the layout is fairly realistic, but not much else is. You have that weird noninversion, there are tires in the block brake, and it only runs two trains. It's pretty bumpy. Ride in the back seat and watch it go through the hills. It bumps around a lot. Your support structure is really odd. The lift hill has way too many supports, and the airtime hill before the first drop has no support. If you're going to spend your time doing custom supports, try to do them right. Look at a real B&M hypercoaster and compare those supports to yours. Your supports in the helices are strange. They branch out extremely far; too far for the G-forces. Bring them in. Look at a B&M coaster supports in a helix. Finally on supports, check out the big gap before your first brake run. It's not supported. The LIM section before the drop is dumb and unnecessary. Get rid of it and lower the airtime hill so the train clears it. Also, look at the fins on the coaster in that section. They go right through the top of the LIM. That tiny brake section on the second camelback doesn't seem needed. You could just put it there and not have it catch if you want realism. The block brake is horrid. You don't generally drop into block brakes. And those tires are ridiculous. Name a B&M with kicker tires in the block brake. The block brake also doesn't seem needed. You run two trains, and another hill might suffice instead of that brake. The brake also eliminates what could be good airtime in the two hills that follow. The tires in the block brake keep the ride from rolling back, but that should happen without tires. Get rid of those tires and see if your ride makes it through after E-stopping. If it doesn't, it's not because it's cold out. Modify the ride. Other than that, the layout is pretty good, other than that weird Immelmann-like turn. Change that to something more realistic, if you like. The hills are good and produce some good airtime. The two helices are placed well. The finale is horrible, though, but that can be fixed by removing the block brake.
ArrowHater Posted April 20, 2008 Author Posted April 20, 2008 Ok, So B&M hypers arent my thing. Haha its ok. I'll use what you all told me and improve and make a new one sooner or later. Like I said this is like one of the only ones I ever made. It just takes practice and I'll probly get the hang of it. But hey, at least im not like "Coastb2" Making unwanted coasters 24/7 & making it seem like he wasted his money on No Limits. Thanks!! I appreciate what you all are telling me! I'll just stick to Inverts,EuroFighters, floorless and intamin's.
Théo the little french Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 If I can "comfort" you: with practise everything we told you are gonna be logical and easy to make. Just take your time and practise
