ginzo Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 ^^ Soft Pretzels also went up to $5.99 from $4.99. Butterfly Fries are now $6.99. And new this year is Vitamin Water for $4.00 a bottle. $6 for a pretzel, especially a mediocre theme park pretzel, is rape. So join me in not buying that particular item. I imagine they have some sort of snacks that are more reasonably priced.
larrygator Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 Where is Larry!?!? Oh, he must be out buying more stock! Good for Six Flags! Hope this trend continues! HaHa - I bought more stock a couple of days before the announcement. If the stock increases another 70 cents I'll be at a break even point. The main driver of the increased revenue is more operating days in Q1 in 2008 versus 2007. I believe SFFT, SFoT, SFoG and SFDK all had more operating days in March 2008. Regarding food prices - I had the best double twist churro at SFGAdv this weekend for $3.49 and I will gladly buy one ever time. I can also eat the cheesy bread at Papa Johns for less than $4. I never have a desire to eat a big meal when I'm at the park. The roasted corn at SFFT is also a great reaonably priced snack. The prices for food at Six Flags parks are in line with the majority of other entertainment venues.

ghost007jas Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 And lets face it, Churros are better then Pretzels anyway. This is good news for Six Flags! I'm of the mind that it doesn't matter why revenue went up, just as long as it did.

I usually grab a pretzel at SFGAdv but ran into the churro stand before seeing a place selling pretzels. I don't know where this $6 was, but I'll confirm the SFGAdv pretzel prices next week.
downunder Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Good for them, Six Flags were great to us at the 3 parks I went to last year (SFMM, SFKK, SFGAm). Thou hasn't the debt climbed a fair bit, wasn't it up to $2.7 billion recently, that will be a challenge to tame?
