So it looks like I will be gracing Walt Disney World with my presence for another Summer.

The plan was at the end of my programme to stay in Orlando and some of my friends were gonna come over for a holiday but that seems like it has fallen through. I've put a deposit down on a flight that allows room for that holiday and its looking like over £100 to change dates, so I was thinking of staying and perhaps doing some travelling/ credit gathering.

I've never hit any parks outside of the Orlando area and the only other place I have been is New York.

I've looked online but I'd rather ask you experienced people!

Can anyone reccommend anywhere or a fun trip route?

A few details to bear in mind however,

I might be alone for this trip AND I probably won't have my drivers licence by the time I get to the states, so will be relying on public transport.

Any help will be grand, Thanks!

Busch Gardens Africa in Tampa, to be sure. Unless you can fly anywhere you wish to visit, getting around via public transportation from Orlando will probably be difficult and expensive.

With public transport only your options are VERY limited.

SoCal might be your best bet. You can fly into LAX get a shuttle to Disney. Do Disney, Knotts, Universal, and can probably get one of the Orange County boys to drive you up here to SFMM.

If you're 'Disneyed Out' there are several places you could fly to and hit one park, but to hit multiple places with public transport it's much harder to suggest a place.

^ Well even with a license, getting a rental car could be tricky. I think you have to be 25. Might be able to find a place though that rents to minors for an extra fee.

If you're going to fly you should be able to choose pretty much anywhere. Pick some places you would really like to see, and then look into what public transport is like.

Though obviously, the bigger the city, the easier transportation will be. If you pick a more backwoods area then transportation access be less then ideal.

Does it have to be theme-park related? You'll be 21 soon.. maybe try Vegas! Heck they even have some rides.. I just know its soooo easy to get around Vegas without a car, plus its a pretty awesome city!

^ I think most places will rent to someone under 25, and in some states its the law.. but you will pay a surcharge. Usually not too bad though, when I was looking at renting a car for 3 days in LA a few months ago, even with the fee the total would have been about $100 before insurance and gas

Not L.A.! There is, of course, the Metro Bus and Rail system, but L.A. is too far spread out to make that efficient (though it is better than, say, ten years ago).
