PKI Jizzman Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 For the 2008 season, Coney is debuting three new attractions. One of those, the Eurobungy Dome, is an extra pay as you play attraction. The other two new attractions are the Turtle Parade and a viking ship with a tentative name of River Runner. Additionally, the Kiddie Circle Freeway has officially been retired from service. And the Spin A Ree has been removed from service, and placed in storage. The Frog Hopper will have a new hope in 2008, near Boats and Trains, as its former site will now be the home of the River Runner. Additionally, The Giant Slide has a new home next to the Tilt-A-Whirl, as its former home is now the home of the new National City Pavilion at Riverbend. Sounds good, I should be going back this summer. It's a nice day trip...I haven't been on the drop ride yet! -J "Still waiting for KI..." Z
Reon Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 I was thinking about posting this for a week, but was too lazy too. Great to see my park get something new! Can't wait to go back to work this summer...
Reon Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 Decided against it unfortunately. Unless I can easily go up to rides manager at KI, I think it would be best careerwise to stick at a park I have experience at....
andy_e219 Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 I think Coney Island should purchese the Screechin' Eagle from the nearby LeSourdsville Lake/Americana Park and attempt to rebuild it there. The coaster will most likely need work after not operating for 6 years now.
spaceace12 Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 I am going to try to make it to CI sometime this summer.

Reon Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 I have to agree with James here. As much as I'd like it, a defunct woodie like Eagle wont be able to make its way to Coney. I think that if we DO get another coaster, it will be a steel mouse, or a boomerang. Some sort of cheaper, portable coaster.
jamesdillaman Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 ^ I'd like to see them get a eurofighter. Modest budget, high thrills, and closest one is 6 hours away in Dollywood. Nothing at KI would even come close, also, so it would be unique in the region. -James Dillaman
Reon Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 A Eurofighter would be wonderful! Right now MM is my favorite coaster, and I'd love to see something like Spongebob or Rage at Coney. It has a moderately small footprint, and Coney has plenty of space to expand.
