UK Merlin Theme Parks Adverts

Alton Towers and Thorpe Park have recently been showing their new adverts for this year ahead of the official opening.

Personally I think they are two of the lamest advert.s I've ever seen.

 

IDK, maybe the Brit.s find them brilliant for some reason.

I've never actually seen the Thorpe Park one! Actually, I've never saw a Thorpe Park advert on TV. Maybe its because I'm Scottish.....

I don't mind the Thorpe Park Advert but what is the rollercoaster in the Alton Towers advert?? Have i missed something??

I voted Alton Towers, but only because the Thorpe ad looks so cheap and is just generally annoying.

 

I too wondered what the hell the massive red coaster was meant to represent. Looks like spinball has been involved in some kind of nuclear

accident resulting in its deformation

 

 

I'm not that impressed by either ad, but it does show the different groups the two parks are aimed at. One looks magical for children, and one is aimed at chavs who hang around in kids playgrounds.

I quite like the AT one, lovely to hear 'in the hall of the mountain king' back. I think it's nice to see an advert that is screaming "WE ARE A THEME PARK AND HAVE LOTS OF FAST AND HIGH ROLLERCOASTERS" (*cough* TP *cough*).

 

The AT ad is more about escaping to the resort as a family, and I personally think it's quite cute. Not a scratch on old AT ads however...boo!
