The Herbster Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 Hello to all, I'm new to this forum. I'm in search for some advice. I am planning a 10 day rollercoaster trip for myself and my 4 teenage nephews in the USA for summer 2006. We plan to fly into Chicago (from the UK) and drive to some theme parks. We will definatley be spending 2 days in Cedarpoint/Soak City. My question is what other white knuckle ride theme parks are close to CP or Chicago that we can visit without having to waste to much time driving. Thanking you in advance for your help
PhishyBrewer Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 -Geauga Lake -Kennywood -Kings Island -Six Flags Great America -Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom -Six Flags St Louis -Worlds of Fun -Silver Dollar City Just to name a few. Robb(RobbAlvey) or Ted(CoasterFanatic) would probably be your best bet to ask. And yes, I could of named other people. But I'm tired. Those are the first 2 names that came to mind. So deal with it
CoasterFanatic Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 This should be a big help. http://www.coasterfanatics.com/sec_map Please note that this is not yet "live" and the functionality is limited. However, it is still pretty handy when planning trips.

The Herbster Posted June 25, 2005 Author Posted June 25, 2005 Excellent info gang!!! Just been on the two websites for the last three hours. More than enough info to plan our trip. Thanks again.
The Herbster Posted July 3, 2005 Author Posted July 3, 2005 The folowing (in addition to CP and Soak city) are definates: Geauga Lake Paramount King's Island Six Flags Great America Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom is currently a maybe, depending upon available time. If we find a wicked 'NEW for 2006' coaster nearby we may go there (in addition to or instead of one of the above). Can't wait for next summer. 8)
