tb158 Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 Hi, does anyone know where to get a HD video quality rollercoaster POV from the internet? I because I want to use it for my backgrond on my computer with windows dream scene. And the "standard" quality is not so good at full screen for a background.
RCoasterny Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 I don't think there any out now, but now with HD cameras being cheap, we can expect them soon. I have a 720P camcorder from Apitek that records to a memory card. I plan to do some POV's at Knoebels this summer so you might see something this summer! I already have some on-ride POV's of some flats that I filmed during PPP last year.
thrillgeek Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 I think your beter off just buying the latest installment of Rob's dvd
Wes Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 I think your beter off just buying the latest installment of Rob's dvd Except that wouldn't solve his problem because the DVD's are shot on DV, which isn't HD.
verticalzero Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 Microsoft have some tech demo HD 1080P short films, there is one called "Speed" where you ride Colossus at SFMM down the 1st drop. Robb's next DVD will be shot in very high Def HD
coreyml Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Goliath SFOG media day - they mounted an HD camera on the train... it broke
thrillgeek Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 When Zonga was at sfdk they did a hd pov as well. It was pretty cool. I really miss that ride
OFortuna Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 I think your beter off just buying the latest installment of Rob's dvd Except that wouldn't solve his problem because the DVD's are shot on DV, which isn't HD. Many HD camcorders us DV for the recording medium. I know Sony's records on MiniDV in 1080i.
Wes Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 Right, those are shot using the HDV format. Robb and Elissa shoots using regular DV camcorders, thus the comment "shot on DV" as opposed to "shot on HDV".
