RollercoasterTigger Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 Hi all, We are looking at planning a overnight trip to Sweden to spend two days at Liseberg. Hopefully we will fly in to Goteburg city airport and stop at the Hotell Liseberg heden hotel. Just wanted to know how easy it would be to rely on public transport rather than hiring a car. There will be 3 of us going (possibly 4). grateful for any advice
Loefet Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 There is a dedicated bus between the airport and the central station, then there is multiple ways to get between the central station, bus, tram or walk. Walking isn't really a problem and doesn't take to long, just have some sense of direction and a good map, and Hotel Liseberg is on the way between.
RollercoasterTigger Posted January 28, 2008 Author Posted January 28, 2008 Thanks for that - we were thinking Bus or Taxi to and from the airport and walk to and from the hotel to the park. Looking forward to going now!
Edward Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 A few links you may find useful: www.hitta.se - keywords in "Var?" would be "Liseberg Göteborg", "Centralstationen Göteborg", and of course the name of your hotel. www.vasttrafik.se - You can also find full maps of the bus and tram lines, though can be difficult to find (redone the site something horribly). Hope this helps. /Edward
SharkTums Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 That hotel is very nice, we stayed there in 2005. Just be careful of the beds...ask Joey!!
RollercoasterTigger Posted January 29, 2008 Author Posted January 29, 2008 thanks for the links - will take a look at those. Good to hear that the Hotel is ok - I normally end up picking really terrible hotels when I organise our trips! I tend to try and book park hotels now but not all of them have one! Thanks
