Jew Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 I really enjoyed the fact that the movie was a "no frills" Bond. Just him being badass. But at the same time, I agree that some of the "old" Bond trademarks should have been mixed in as well. I liked that there was no gadgets, but they should have at least worked the famous quotes into the movie.
RIP Psyclone Posted November 17, 2008 Author Posted November 17, 2008 I saw it opening night. One of the things I noticed is it wasn't very convincing that it picked up right where Casino Royale left off. That seemed a little forced. Having seen the reviews first, it was about what I had expected. I am glad it's doing well, though.
knottslover77 Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 It opened to $67,528,882 thats the largest opening for any Bond flick. --Jay
willski Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 I enjoyed the movie, but I thought the opening chase camera angles were too tight, and the chase was as a whole too short. If they had widened the angle of the chase and made it a bit longer (and the movie as well), it would have been loads better.
