canadianfreak Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Ottawa Ontario, may be getting water park that is said to open June 2009. An Ottawa company that designs and sells water rides around the world plans to build a splashy water park in its own backyard. Rick Hunter, owner of ProSlide Technologies, said yesterday the Aottawata water park will rise on a 100-acre site off Highway 416 on the southwest edge of the city. If approvals come as expected, it will open in June 2009. It will have their Tornado, bowls and pipeline slides. I get really excited when news like this pops up. People who live here know exactly how boring it can get. A water park would spruce the place up! http://www.canada.com/ottawacitizen/news/story.html?id=b5eb523b-3801-4b83-9aa4-3875f29d1f7a
SharkTums Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 That could be cool. Especially if they use the park to show off some new or prototype slides!
canadianfreak Posted November 28, 2007 Author Posted November 28, 2007 I'm hoping for one of their Rockets like Deluge.
Airtime&Gravity Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 So this will be Proslide's version of Europa? I agree with Elissa that this could be really cool, and it will be a nice way to show off their new attractions. If they can give it a nice theme, then this could be a nice park. Just a question, did Proslide build Deluge?
canadianfreak Posted November 28, 2007 Author Posted November 28, 2007 ^I believe so, I saw it on their website for where their Rocket slides are installed. http://www.proslide.com/images/rides/4/4_us_installation.pdf Edit: Also it shows Deluge on the video for rocket slides. http://www.proslide.com/sub.php?mainRideID=4&rideID=10
