deguy123 Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 I just reserved a vacation at Disney Old Key west with my daughter(she is 7).We are going April 6th(sunday) thur April 9th(wednesday). Is 3 days at the Magic Kingdom too long? Cause i was thinking 3 days there and 1 day at Animal Kingdom. I already reserved breakfast at the castle for Tuesday(last opening....thank god)
SharkTums Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 It's really all opinion, and a 7 year old girl will love Magic Kingdom, but 3 days does seem a bit excessive.
cfc Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 I'd make one of those MK days an Epcot day--of course, it all depends on what you're daughter is interested in.
mcjaco Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 I'd say three days is a bit too much. She'd probably enjoy the shows at MGM, and perhaps a meal at the Sci-Fi restaurant. It is Spring Break that time, so crowds will be heavy. You will probably need more time to get to everything you'd like.
deguy123 Posted November 20, 2007 Author Posted November 20, 2007 ^ Thats really spring break week? I thought it was the week before.
SharkTums Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Spring Breaks now start the first week of March, and the last ones usually are the week after Easter. Next year is an early Easter year (3/23) which may help you, but yeah, there will still be Spring Breaks going on while you're there for sure.
mcjaco Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 I went once during Spring Break in high school. It wasn't as bad as the summer months, but it was crowded. I'd say just go knowing that you'll likely not see everything you want. Since she's at that princess age, I'd immediately go to Fantasyland and get those rides in right away (espeically Peter Pan, Dumbo, and Pooh). Most people head towards Tomorrowland and Adventureland. Best thing to do is just relax and take in the parks. She'll be happy just to be there. And if she isn't you can take me!
deguy123 Posted November 21, 2007 Author Posted November 21, 2007 Thank's for the info.........I'm probably just as excited to go since I haven't been there since I was in first grade. I had some wierd things happen which included passing out from the heat at Circus World and almost drowned in the pool, so hopefully this time I'm accident free....lol... Yeah she will just be excited to see the Castle.....she won't stop talking about it.
