RIP Psyclone
I was in a Blockbuster tonight, and a commercial played for Christmas at SFDK, emphasizing the tree. It's possible Blockbuster is playing that at all of its CA locations, but has anyone else seen this?
coasterdude5
Since they're not having the event at SFMM I think it's a wise decision to advertise to the entire state, especially with the tree deal.
Sean Menefee
Just a side note but the park has also recently announced they will be having a New Years Eve event this year. Ring in the new year at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. We’re open on New Year’s Eve from 4 p.m. to midnight. http://www.sixflags.com/discoveryKingdom/events/CalendarEvents.aspx -Sean "Kinda cool to see the park trying new things!" Sean Menefee
Not sure you would really want to be in Vallejo much past midnight in all honesty. -Sean

Loco
Ring in the new year at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. We’re open on New Year’s Eve from 4 p.m. to midnight. http://www.sixflags.com/discoveryKingdom/events/CalendarEvents.aspx Can you imagine riding Medusa all night. You'll come off with icicles hanging from your nose and your hands numb.
Sean Menefee
Not sure you would really want to be in Vallejo much past midnight in all honesty. -Sean .....If your in the park nothing is going to happen to you... I'm aware of that. I'm thinking more in the line of having to walk back out to your car. It is kind of cool to actually have the option to go ride coasters on New Years though. It's been some time since a park in this area has been open that late in the season. Discovery Kingdom has really given season pass holders more bang for their buck in 2007, and I hope that trend continues into the future. -Sean
KGA29
I don't know if this is a good place to ask this, but could I get in to SFDK's Holiday Lights with my SFoT season pass? Probably not, but it doesn't say anything anywhere about it.
Sean Menefee
That shouldn't be a problem. ^ Holiday in the Park is an event for all 2007 Six Flags season pass holders, no matter what your home park is. Hope that helps, -Sean

Sean Menefee
^ Links or details other then just "It does not" please? Your best bet would be to call the Discovery Kingdom if you're really interested in visiting Holiday in the Park. I'm checking with a few of contacts at SFDK to get a solid answer though. More info soon hopefully. -Sean Edit..... I've just talked to a friend of mine who works at SFDK, and I'm pretty sure any season pass will get you into Holiday in the Park this year. He's going to double check for me tomorrow, but you should be good to go.

sfmmrules!
All right! I'll get in my only coaster riding of the year on New Years Eve would be nice! A nice way to kick start 2008 which will be my biggest coaster riding year yet! Woo! I was planning on going day after Christmas but New Years Eve sounds better! But one worry will every coaster be open along with the water rides?
Sean Menefee
I just talked to another one of my contacts at Discovery Kingdom, and he said that all 2007 Six Flags Season Passes will gain you entrance into Holiday in the Park 2007. He also pointed me to this: Attention 2006 Season Pass holders! Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is pleased to extend an invitation to attend our 2007 Holiday in the Park event this year. As a valued season pass holder in 2006, we want you to enjoy the holiday celebration that had to be postponed until this year. http://www.sixflags.com/discoveryKingdom/events/HolidayInThePark.aspx You can download the transfer form at the bottom of the linked page above. -Sean

phazan
That IS odd! I can't imagine non-coaster enthusiasts (Being that there are a lot more of them, than there are US!) traveling all the way up here just for an event at SFDK...but, maybe there is something about NorCal that attracts SoCal people..beats me. And yeah, night time at SFDK?! BURRRRRRRRRRRR!! I get cold going there before the fog even reaches the park!
