Team Thriller Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 Here is my first TR. So if something is wrong with it, then just forgive me. I arrived at the park before opening. The crowds looked weak but I now they are going to pick up! Griffon - 10/10 Easliy one of the best coasters I've been on. Super smooth, fast, some nice airtime, and a killer first drop. My first credit of the day. I rode with a really cool member of Theme Park Review. I notice him because he was wearing a Cedar Point shirt and I knew he was probably a coasterman, with probably ment he knew about Theme Park Review. Alpengiest - 10/10 My favorite inverted thriller. I rode up front with the awesome person I didn't know. It was easliy the greatest B&M coaster I've been on. Lockness Monster - 8/10 I heard a lot of bad things about this coaster. And none of them where true. People said the ride is very jerky. I sat in the front and back and they weren't jerky at all. The ride is really fun. My favorite looping arrow coaster. It really is cool. (I lost my hat but luckly someone caught it) Big Bad Wolf - 6/10 Ninja is better. This is very jerky and wasn't really that amazing. The ending is kick butt. (In the back) It's worth riding but isn't worth waiting. Apollo's Chiarot - 9/10 My group liked this coaster the most. I think Griffon and Alpie is better. But this is third. Since it was a B&M speed train, up front was a good idea. IMO, and I know there will be a lot of people who disagree with me, Silver Star is better. Park rating overall - 10/10 1.) Great Coasters 2.) Really nice staff 3.) VERY PRETTY PARK 4.) Priced well 5.) Great attractions Now on to the pictures!!! Final ride. The train! Hope you enjoyed the TR! Great ride. (I like Corksrew Hill better though) Daniels so popular I'm glad the splash doesn't get you too wet (As a matter of fact. It didn't at all) Gives you the best feeling See, so much airtime Smoothest ride I've ever been on! So much airtime too! Great ending however! Jerky coaster. But fun Right next to all the fun little kiddie rides is a Beer House.... GREAT MIX ^ Land of the Dragons This store has WAY to much time on their hands See, it has more trees than rides...HAHA Another ACE joke Ireland. One of the nicest parts of the park!. Hey YOU give me a hand!! HAHA ACE joke Gumm Gumm..Give me...I mean woof woof bark bark Gumm Gumm....Give Me Gumm Gumm Thats a lot of loops to ride! The first drop goes all the way to the ground. THANK GOD!!! =D ^ Best Inverted ever!!! ...5 minutes later I'm so excited to ride Alpengiest!!!! Yeh (Again, sorry) Yeh...(Sorry, couldn't think of a better title) The park wasn't that crowded today... (Is that a Holy Cross I see in the background?) I sat in the back of Escape fom Pompeii, and guess what? My pants had puddles. So is Daniel I'M glad to be on the train OMG. Look at that drop (Notice my hat) Enterence to heaven (Or something like it) This makes it even prettier! This park is pretty. Very pretty! Can't stop looking at Arrow....LOOK B&M NO! DON'T EAT GRIFFON, JUST BECAUSE HE IS GOOD This arrow was pretty good. The lopps where cool. I lost my hat! Lookness and Griifon = NO MATCH Then comes a little loopie doopie, which isn't as little as it was on the oatmeal box. Here is it's 205 foot drop It is SOOOO cool P.S. SOOOOO cooool Griffon. As seen on T.V. (probably, I didn't though. I saw it on a oatmeal box) Where are all the coasters? Yeh, B&M. Where is Busch Gardens!!RRR This way to Busch Gardens - I wonder how I knew that?
hemmy Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 Awesome pictures, I hope to go here next summer. One of the few big U.S. parks I haven't been to.
Flintscape Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 Team Thriller - I just have a question When you where there, was Roman Rapids open, because thats like my favorite rapids ride and it wasn't on the update. Just asking
Team Thriller Posted November 11, 2007 Author Posted November 11, 2007 ^ Yes it was, but the line was horribly long. Plus, I was finaly dry from Escape From Popeii and I didn't want to get soaked agian. Sorry I didn't get one photo of it But thanks for asking
PURE Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 What? No backstage pictures? No sneaking around the park finding open gates? What a horribly boring TR! Haha, just kidding. You've got some awesome pictures, this is one the more exciting parks I've seen lately, what with the new coaster additions and all. Dunno when I'd ever be in that area, but I'd love to stop by this park to get on a couple of those rides. Thanks for the TR!
ebl Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 I've been to Busch Gardens in Florida, but I do want to go to this one, too. Busch really does their parks nice. It's too bad that the old one here in California didn't last. Eric
Team Thriller Posted November 14, 2007 Author Posted November 14, 2007 It's too bad that the old one here in California didn't last.Eric California had one at one time? Was it bought by another company or somthing?
cfc Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 ^It was connected to the Busch brewery in southern California, and it consisted of a boat ride through the gardens, a log flume, and free samples of Bud. Busch removed it a long time ago to expand the brewery.
RIP Psyclone Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 I found this on Busch Gardens: Porn Valley www.placesearth.com/usa/california/los_angeles/busch_gardens_vn/buschg1.shtml
Team Thriller Posted November 14, 2007 Author Posted November 14, 2007 ^ To bad it didn't last. It looked so nice and all. I would have gone there. Thanks for sharing that with me.
