So I think that my family and I are going to Disney World on December 5 and leaving the next day: just a short trip. I once remember hearing that around that time, after Thanksgiving and before Christmas, the park wasn't that crowded and all the decorations for Christmas were put up. We usually go sometime during the five days before Christmas, when the crowds are INSANE. So are wait times and crowds noticeably smaller compared to my previous visits? Thanks!

The first two weeks of December are some of the best times to visit Disney World. Like you said, all the xmas stuff is up and the parks have a great feel to them, and they're pretty empty as well!

Have fun!

It's been my experience over the past year or so, that it's getting crowded at all times of the year. That's not to say it's as bad as is during the summer and the holiday breaks, but it's not like it used to be.....desolate.

You should have plenty of time to hit up all the major attractions in which ever parks you go to. I tip my hat to your parents, because a two day hopper is mucho dinero.

According to my Disney specialist travel agent, Disney has been really trying to cut down on their dead times. Value season is a great time to go because of the reduced cost. There seem to always be discount codes floating around. And they do a lot of special events to try to cut down on the dead times. You can't blame them for doing this, but I do think it sucks a bit as I love a dead park.
