dpxtreme Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 www.mercurynews.com/ci_6717551?source=rss Hopefully the new rules work out well.
Angry_Gumball Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 Hopefully the parents will be smart and watch their children. Sorry...it just bugs me knowing that the parent was off getting their tan while their child was playing in an area knowing that they could drown.
Tmcdllr Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 Maybe this will help make the f-ing parents do their f-ing job! Sad that it had to come to this. I still want to know when they will file criminal neglegence charges against her sorry but.
jjeerr Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 Surprised its open, thought they would kill it tell next season at least. I guess I need to go tomorrow....(I do love my wavepools....)
Tmcdllr Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 "Friday, officials with Cal-OSHA said only that their investigation remains open and that the agency's inspections of the pool's mechanics and how its staff was trained had earned passing marks." -No surprise there since this was not Great America's fault "Yolanda Flores, 27, who was sitting among some chairs at the side of the pool, said she could see her son, who was not wearing a life jacket, when he returned to the water after taking a break. He was back in for only about 10 minutes, she said, before moving out of her sight." -So sitting at poolside, SHE SAW her 4 YEAR OLD had NO LIFEJACKET when he went back into the pool. Then on top of that, she was too lazy to watch HER CHILD and lost sight of him. Funny how she claims there were only 4 lifeguards when the pool does not operate unless there are 6, idiot! Throw her sorry ass in jail before she kills another 4 year old.
