odie Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 This last Monday I went to Wild Waves with four other friends. The weather was just perfect in my opinion being not to hot or to cold (about 75). The park was pretty crowded compared to other times I have gone in July or August. We left home at about 8:30 catching the 10:30 boat to Seattle because we missed the 9:30 boat. We got to the park at around 12 with no line at the gate . First up we got a family locker and headed of to the dry rides. We worked our way up the hill doing flats till we got to Timberhawk! This ride has 1 pretty nice drop and 2 other okay ones. The head choppers are great and the ride is very smooth all around. I asked about a POV but they said I couldn't do it for safety reasons so I obeyed. We got one ride in the back (waiting about 15 minutes) and one ride in the front (waiting about 30 minutes). The line was very slow because of 1 train operation and about 3 minute loading time. Next we worked our way back down the hill toward Lumberjack Falls. On our way we hit up the new Kang-A-Bounce! It actually was a very surprising ride but hurt you bladder a lot! After Lumberjack we did Wild Thing which was running very smooth with no side head bangs just back ones (if that makes any sense.) then we did slides for the rest of the day, then hit Timberhawk once more before leaving. Here are the pictures! Sack Slide with some big drops. Kiddie Coaster. Down the first drop into the valley. Pretty nice sign. Timberhawk and some head choppers. Wild Thing going through the loop. Sides from across the way. Falling Star and Flying ride that I forgot the name of ha ha. Fishy. Zuma Falls now has footers for the new raft lift that the lifeguard said is supposed to be "coming". Inside the park. Green slides, Falling star, Octopus, Pirate ship through the trees and, Timberhawk through the trees. It may not look like it but this is a ring of fire and its the new type that I have never seen before. It has shoulder restraints instead of a lap bar. I wish I could have got a better picture of it thought. Very bright reflection! On the ferry.
coasterdude5 Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 Cool trip report. It looks like a nice park.
odie Posted August 1, 2007 Author Posted August 1, 2007 More pictures! I leave you with a nice sunset. One last group picture. The Rock had coasters too! The best thing on the menu! Sounds healthy. We decided to eat at The Rock instead. Wild Things Corkscrew. Some awesome slides. Me, Ross, Lelenia, Katie, and Sarah. I almost got it. I think it would be better without the bump. Airtime? Kang-A-Bounce!
Groteslurf Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 Nice TR and pics. I only don't understand the 'ring of fire' pic
Swoosh Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 ^It is the carnival ride that is on the back of that semi that is in the picture.
odie Posted August 1, 2007 Author Posted August 1, 2007 I only don't understand the 'ring of fire' pic Here... In this position on a truck. (Thank you Matts Carnival Warehouse) It's this ride... (Thank you Matts Carnival Warehouse)
carolinacaniac Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 Great pics you have here!!!! Makes me wish Melissa and I would have done a little more of the regular rides. I remember seeing the Rock on our way to the park. How much would you recommend it?
DarkMeasures Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 Wild Waves is a horrible horrible park that should be sacrificed and burnt to the ground so the Seattle area could get a real amusement/theme park.
timetrial3141592 Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 The kangaroo thing is a Bouncy Bouncy with clever theming.
odie Posted August 3, 2007 Author Posted August 3, 2007 How much would you recommend it? It was very nice inside and I liked the pizza too. I would say it was probably the best food around there that I have been to.
