RRollergod Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 Hello everyone, I am here again with another model! Grip of the Talon was an idea of mine for B&M's first compact four across dive machine. This model stands a proud 2 feet and has a real 90 degree drop! After the drop it soars into an immelan and then into a very tight helix/ tilted loop around the drop. Then the end of the helix flies under the lift dodging its own supports. I would love to ride this but sadly may not happen. This model was very hard to create since I went through three different layouts and on top of the hassle of running low on supports I had major problems with the rails. I have several cuts on my hands thanks to those devils. Along with the following pictues I also have another video. Hope you enjoy! coasterfan200692 Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 Doesn't seem very smooth. But I think it's cool. I've heard it's really hard to make those so good job.
kennywood!007 Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 Very nice! I saw these in a Hobby store yesterday I was about to but the same kit...
rollerdude Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 Thats a very cool layout there. I made a similar layout with an inverted coaster. There is a bump on the helix though, and the immlemann isn't shaped too well at the top and in the twist. Other than that, it's a sweet little coaster. It must be fun to watch.
RRollergod Posted June 28, 2007 Author Posted June 28, 2007 I notice those bumps. The one on the end was hard to avoid, but works well as a brake. Also the immleman, thanks the the stress on my track (I almost ran short on spine) it is misshapen.
doublex98 Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 looks cool!!! nice job Ive herad those sometimes can be very hard to build!
coasterJunkie94 Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 Good idea Turning the track upsidedown i've seen a friend who took the cars and glued the to the top right was so its pretty realistic
