CycloneMan Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 I decided that I was going to make a little video of the footage I had from the first months of SFGAv being opened this year. I hope you guys like the video. But I do have a disclaimer: There is a segment of Batman The Ride that is un edited and I did not meen for that to happen. I got destracted and kept editing and when I was done, I uploaded it online, so that clip is in there. Otherwise, it's a good video! -Dainan "Feedback would be apreciated" Rafferty My video of the new El Toro lift can be found here!
KingOfNynex2003 Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Great video! I was wondering, I'm planning on going out there sometime in the future to try out ET and KK and like a fair number of Americans I am sadly overweight and can't get onto some rides. But I went to Knott's Berry Farm last year and I could get onto everything there except for La Revolucion and Xcelerator so I was wondering if you could tell me if you've been on Xcelerator and if so if the checkstrap for ET is about the same as the Xcelerator coaster at Knott's or if it's shorter? Hope to hear from you soon.
CycloneMan Posted June 25, 2007 Author Posted June 25, 2007 Ooh. I know T-bars. And El Toro's lap bars are VERY restricting. There is a test seat outside the ride, and I suggest you use it. Kingda Ka also has a test seat, but it big boy friendly. Today at ET, I saw them made a person get off because they couldn't get him locked correctly because of his size! It also depends on how the attendants may be checking. But for those two, definately do the test seat! Chiller is really bad like this too. Because the seats are so cramped and there is a seat belt that attatches to the Lap bar. If you are to big (fat or tall), you can't ride. I hope this helped -Dainan "I'm happy you liked th video" Rafferty
FLIPDUDE Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Great video! Veryv ery cool and nice diting, too! I must say, thoguh, seeing batman and robin: The Chiller operate barrel roll free, and STILL only have the robin side operating, makes me nauseaus.
TheMisfitsFan Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 The video was well-made and featured good editing. Personally, I had a bad experience at SFGAV a few years back, mostly due to poor ground conditions (tons of trash), unprofessional employees, long lines, and tough crowds. Along with its mediocre selection of rides, I had a bad time there. Recently, I decided I will give the park another chance in order to experience the rides I missed the first time around. (Kingda Ka, Nitro, and El Toro) Has the park changed over the years, is it still in poor condition it was a few years back?
BuddyChrist Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Under new management the park is clean, all of the rides are up and running except for probably only 2, the staff is friendly and courteous, security is EVERYWHERE so those bad crowds are dealt with early and quickly, and the lines have been very short this year. Great Adventure has made such a stunning turnaround from last year that it's amazing. If you want to have a good time there, I say now is the time to go! Great Video Dainan! I can't wait to see more of them!
