tsmcdon Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 I was watching this show on the Travel Channel "Fan's Guide: Walt Disney World" and it had a segment about 3 girls going to see the Muppet show. One of the girls made a big deal about a key that was under a rug. She pulled up a rug and there was a key screwed to the floor. Can anyone tell me were this is? I have seen the Muppet show once and could not remember much about the entrance.
resonancej Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Ok, I've been going to that show off and on for 13 years now and I've NEVER heard ANYTHING about a key under a rug. I guess I should ask next time I go...
DerekRx Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Right when you walk into the building (before you even get into the preshow room) it's on the righthand side. There's a door that says something like "out to lunch, key is under the rug" and there's a rug there. If you lift up the rug, there really is a key underneath it, molded into the floor. It was still there on my visit back in March.
piers Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 I saw the key both times I went. It's a really nice touch. Adds a bit a Disney magic to the whole Muppet thing!
SharkTums Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 And apparently early on in the Year of a Million Dreams they were putting a dream there each day, but then people got word of it and were stampeding to muppets each day to grab it!
tsmcdon Posted June 13, 2007 Author Posted June 13, 2007 Thank you for the info Derek, I am going to have to look for it on the next visit.
