westipher97
With my wife being in school this morning and part of the afternoon, I decided to hit up my hometown park today. She is pregnant and can't ride coasters so I try to go when she is busy with school. I met up with my friends Jason and Michelle and Jason's younger brothers, Austin and Kevin. The weather today was perfect, around 80 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. Operations were exceptional today as the crowds were heavy. No stacking on the coasters today. Timber Wolf crew usually has trouble with stacking trains, but that was not the case today. Timber Wolf is still a little rough in my opinion, even with the new trim brake installed a little more than half way through the ride. Mamba, Spinning Dragons, and Patriot were all smooth as glass as usual. I didn't ride Boomerang today because I didn't feel like waiting for it. Mamba - 3 trains running, 2 rides front and back seats, 20 min. wait Timber Wolf - 2 trains running, 1 ride back seat, 15 min. wait Patriot - 2 trains running, 1 ride back seat, 20 min. wait Spinning Dragons - 5 cars running, 1 ride, 20 min. wait I noticed security checking bags when I was leaving the park. They were not checking bags when I went in. There are no metal detectors and this is the first time I've seen security do this at Worlds of Fun. Now, on to the pictures! One last shot of Patriot I noticed security checking people's bags as they entered the park. When I went in they weren't doing that. There are no metal detectors at this park and this is the first time I've seen them do this. Bamboozler Fjord Fjarlane. Swoosh
Nice photos, but you really need to follow the posted rules on not taking on ride photos. They are clearly marked at the entrance to every ride and taking on ride photos is cause for removal from the park. They are really cracking down on this and I don't want you to jeopardize your time at the park by not following posted safety rules.
westipher97
Wow, if they are cracking down on foolishness out there, maybe I shouldn't have ridden Mamba and Timberwolf shirtless 3 weeks ago!
Swoosh
yeah, that was probably pretty stupid as well. I take it you put it back on before you got back to the station? If so, you rebel you.
EagleFan344
Wow those crowds looked large. I always heard WoF had GL type crowds.
steel
^I've never heard that in my life. GL was empty when I was there last year and it was a Saturday in July. The only line was for X-Flight. Lines usually aren't bad at WoF, but it's never empty. This looks like a pretty normal Saturday to me. Crowded is when Patriot has to use all of its switchbacks and Mamba starts running three trains.
