thrillrideseeker
So my mom wanted to take a trip together before I move to Florida! She decided to go to Hot Spings. I did not complain because it got me out of the house, plus I got to ride a few coasters! Anyways... on with the Trip Report. When we got to Magic Springs it was about 12:00pm. The temperature was right around 75 degrees! Which is perfect for going to an amusement park!! So we get there and as we were walking down the path we noticed that Hawk was running, so we stoped by for a quick ride! After leaving Hawk I headed on over to Dr. Deans Rocket Machine and rode it twice! After Dr. Deans Rocket Machine I headed down to the Gauntlet! There was like NO ONE in line which was awesome!! I rode it 4 times then headed back over to Dr. Deans Rocket Machine. I rode it 2 1/2 times the first two times it did what it was suppose to do, but the 1/2 of a time it broke down like right before the launch so we had to get off. After Dr. Deans we headed over to X-Coaster! There was like a really small line, it was only like a 5 minute wait! So I rode it 6 times then headed over to Plummet Summit. I hate water rides, but I had to ride it because of my cousin. After riding Plummet Summit we headed over to the Log Flume. After the Log Flume we headed over to Twist and Shot so my cousin could ride we rode it twice and she was all like "I am never getting back on that" I was like "OK" I did not want to ride it in the first place. After the two rides on Twist and Shout I headed back over to The Gauntlet rode it twice and headed over to X-Coaster rode it 3 times and then headed back to the Gauntlet! I kept doing that until 7:00PM when the park closed! I actually had a great day at Magic Springs!! Well enough about what I did... Now on to the pictures!!! ~Matthew Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed the TR! OH yeah... they are building this new slide complex thing... Then you go down the hill and make a big splash. You go around a turn... You get in a boat... and go up a hill.... Now on to Plummet Summit! X-Coaster as seen from Hawk! OMG... its me on the X-Coaster... with my pretty TPR shirt! The back of the seats... The comfortable seats! Through the station at 65.3 mph. Back down the hill they go! There they go through the twisty thing. And away they go! The front of the strange trains. Say bye bye people! Just hanging upside down!! The funny twisty part. Its so pretty! X-Coaster!! Now to the X-Coaster! I love the way this ride goes through all the trees! Now on to the Log Flume. OMG and this one too! OMG I love this picture! I hope these people are prepared. The drop! Sorry I have no more on ride photos. All the other ones were so blurry you could not tell what they were. The second inversion! As seen from the lift hill. Up the hill we go! YAY! Like the best part of the ride! The not so high tech torture devices. OH... pretty... wheels. OMG THE BRAKES... brace yourself. OH I love this part of the ride! A train full of soon to be unhappy riders. The last turn! This inversion is acutally pretty forcefull. A bunch of twisted steel. The lift and part of the first drop. I feel a headache coming on. SEE. I told you. There was like no one in line for the Gauntlet. The back of the painful car. The painfull car going around a painfull turn. Twist and Shout. For some odd reason I like this picture! Dr. Deans Rocket Machine, and X-Coaster! But then it broke... and now its not pretty. OH... its like so pretty! Its just a S&S tower ride! The next ride was Dr. Deans Rocket Machine! Going backwards. OMG MY SHOE... and part of the Gauntlet! To start my ride off... a pic. of me! OH and it holds you upside down at the top! So this ride takes you upside down like 6 times. OH... a pretty picture! The first ride of the day was Hawk! OMG We are at Magic Springs. I had no idea. kennywood!007
Very nice PTR. I love the Zamperla Hawks, Kennywood has a double one. Their so fun, and when it holds you upsidedown for like 4 seconds wow, longest 4 seconds of your life!
RollerC
Is Magic Springs as powerfull as Kennywoods? When I rode Areo 360, it took one half swing before we were upside down.

I am not sure if Hawk is as powerfull as Areo 360. I know it swings back once to like half way, then it swings forward and goes all the way around if that made any sense... ~Matthew
kennywood!007
^Probably the same operation as 360. Sounds right, half way then all the way. Hawks barely have any forces though. Thats what makes them more thrilling. Trusting that harness to hold you in for your life!

thrillrideseeker
^^ I was so not wearing socks with my crocs. Plus... I usually do not wear crocs, but I knew they would not come off on the rides, but my flip flops would! OMG and the crocs that were in that picture were so ugly. I would never buy neon colored crocs... EVER... ~Matthew
coasterdude5
Great TR, there were some really good shots of X-Coaster, one of the best coasters in the mid-south, in my opinion.
America Sings Freak
This park looks awesome, but it needs more theming.

Shavethewhales
What about Big Bad John and the Arkansas Twister? Did you have any goes on them? I always thought the Arkansas Twister was huge for a park that size, at least as it was before X-car and the Gauntlet.
brianwolters
What about Big Bad John and the Arkansas Twister? Did you have any goes on them? I always thought the Arkansas Twister was huge for a park that size, at least as it was before X-car and the Gauntlet. Magic Springs is becoming a respectable mid-sized park. It is clean, has decent rides, great water pakr and good concert selection. They are set to announce their 2008 ride, which they say will be the largest thrill ride in Arkansas' history. So, I don't expect much more than a Giant Frisbee, but that would add to the flat ride collection. I bet they get a new coaster or an X-Coaster extension in 2009.
