rlercstrluvr Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 I'm going and i don't know what to expect what'll happen to me. Can anyone give me the 411
Chris Benvenuto Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 another classic gut busting answer by Wes^ But, all things aside you'll have fun man, hope you'll HAVE two days there. Because you'll need'em both! if the lines are bad that is.
Milkchan Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 ^^ I guess so, don't forget being corkscrewed and going on someone power tower. JUST KIDDING The lines should be an hour or less, but who knows they have a new coaster this year.
rlercstrluvr Posted May 4, 2007 Author Posted May 4, 2007 well then i'm lucky cause i'll have two days there and the really good thing is the hotel i'm staying at will let us in an hour early
supermanrosfan0810 Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 I'll be going for three weekdays in late August, staying at lighthouse point. I'm quite sure lines shouldn't be a problem for me!
Wes Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 ^ PLEASE read the posting rules! Proper capitilization and grammar are a must around here! http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=21962
rlercstrluvr Posted May 4, 2007 Author Posted May 4, 2007 yes, I DO recognise them and use them for what word in my post / reply
Wes Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 Obviously you haven't read the posting rules. Maybe a 24 hour ban will help? http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=31454
hemmy Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 It may be the rules but to ban someone for missing 1 period or 1 uncapitalized letter is quite harsh. He was kind of a jerk, but honestly...
pete4winds Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 ^ Uuummm...no...I count SEVEN missed capital letters (five of them were "I", which is first-grade stuff) and FIVE dropped punctuation marks in his combined posts. One missed capital letter and two dropped punctuation marks were AFTER Wes reminded him of the rules. I'm no mod (nor would I want to be - they have my respect for doing such a thankless job), but I'm at least smart enough to correct a mistake that a mod points out to me, rather than argue the mistake on its merits!
Wes Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 It may be the rules but to ban someone for missing 1 period or 1 uncapitalized letter is quite harsh. He was kind of a jerk, but honestly... It was more of the combo of his bad grammar AND his attitude than anything. We're not banning people because of "1 period or 1 uncapitalized letter". Go look at his posting history. He hardly ever did either of those things. I pointed this out, and instead of understanding the rules and correcting his posts, he had to argue. It sucks we have to be strict on certain stuff, but we have a really awesome forum here. Robb and Elissa have put countless hour into making this site great, and the last thing anyone wants is a bunch of illegible posts that dumb the forums down.
robbalvey Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 It may be the rules but to ban someone for missing 1 period or 1 uncapitalized letter is quite harsh. He was kind of a jerk, but honestly... How exactly is being banned for 24 hours "harsh"? We didn't kick him off the site for good for not following the rules (HELLO!!!! *NOT FOLLOWING THE RULES*) we gave him a friendly reminder. Hell, he was probaby asleep for 1/3 of that ban anyway, so why is it a big deal? --Robb
