As for compressed glass, there's two Apple stores in NYC that uses glass for a staircase and one store has a bridge that you can walk across that is made out of compressed glass.

Clear glass bridges in stores do not sound like a good idea. THink of all the pervs standing under it to try to get a glance up women's skirts.

 

EDIT: Ah, the stairs are frosted.

 

Cornell had a glass staircase in one of its studen centers. It was taken out because of of that reason and the fact that it became very very slippery when it rained and people's shoes got it wet, which, if you know Ithaca's weather, happened quite often.

I just thought about that^. The station looks fairly plausible though, someone should make it as 3DS for no limits.

OK... I changed my mind... after seeing those pictures I think anything can be made out of glass! So I think your coaster station is very possible! Now you just need a coaster that would fit in with the themeing of a glass station!

Yeah, thats why I used the Grand Palais. It's wayyy more intricate than this station idea would ever be, but it's got the similar arches and corridors, I guess would be an okay word for that...

Ive heard of this Vodhin Glass set or something, can someone post it or something, I want it now. Also, if you've been to the Oprey Land Hotel, you can see that the there is basically no limits to glass and some good framework. It's basically an indoor town with a very large glass roof. Though it may be off subject, can someone tell me how to get this Extended coaster thing? It sounds great.

For the 'perverts under the stairs' problem, there are glass walls beside the stairs, you can't go under them, that, and the glass on the stairs IS frosted.
