I don't think so. I'm sure there's a lot going on that we just aren't aware of and wouldn't understand unless we were in his shoes.

Grant it though, I believe his language was unnecceptable, and hopefully he won't repeat that mistake, but I don't think we have the right to judge him.

Give me a break. What's going on here is obvious. You've got a spoiled movie star who makes more in 3 months than most everyone here will make in their entire life. He's used to getting his way all the time. If things don't go his way, he flips out. His behavior demonstrates just how not well adjusted he is.

Don't kid yourself here. This sort of childish behavior from celebrities is pretty commonplace. If you don't believe me, I suggest you go read the contract riders for famous musicians on the smoking gun:

These bizarre requests, including such absurdities as removing specific color M&Ms from the backstage food, illustrate my point: celebrities like Alec Baldwin do not live in the same world that we do.

The girl is 11 years old. I think daddy's little rant gives us more than a small hint as to why she lives with her mom.

I do think celebritie's are spoiled, used to getting their own way, etc, but...

I can understand this situation. It was a messy divorce with custody battles. The kid's mom very well could have turned her against her dad. That can be very irritating and he just reached his breaking point. I don't know the whole story, and I could be wrong, but that is just my view on it. Was he in the wrong? Yes, but it really isn't that major. If it was your common person off the street that this happened with, nobody would even care or think twice about it. They could just apologize and that would be that, most likely. I think he should continue to have joint custody of his daughter, perhaps under certain persuasions or with supervised visitation rights for a certain, short amount of time.

^ I kind of agree with that.

Obviously the guy has anger issues, and yeah, speaking to his 11 year old daughter that way isn't great, but honestly, it's not like he really threatened her in any specific way, he didn't swear at her or call her abusive names (other than "pig", but seriously, she's 11, I guarantee she's been called worse)... He TOTALLY over-reacted, and I'm not denying that, but my father has left FAR worse messages on my voicemail and said *much* worse things to that in person. And I know I'm not the only one here who's experienced that, and I'm fine. Families go through shit, and say things they shouldn't. Blown out of ALL proportion.

The guy has anger issues. Maybe he isn't a great dad. Doesn't mean he deserves some of the criticism levelled at him this weekend, it's ridiculous.
