Frontier City observation/ question

My home park (frontier City) in Oklahoma City has been dismanleing one of their rides over the last couple of weeks. The ride is called the Tomahawk (sp?) and is one of those looping side by side rides that you find at many carnivals (i forget the generic name for it). Does anyone know if this is permanent or not and if it is what ride, if any, is likely to replace it?

Aw, what? I knew it had been shut down for ages, but I never imagined they would actually take it out. Let's hope it's not permanent, it looked really fun.

^Eh, all the other rides are staying, so I don't see why this one wouldn't.

 

Hmm, it's not listed on the site anymore though, so maybe they got fed up with the maintenance issues? They better get something good to replace it, if another up-charge ride goes in I'll go nuts.

What do you mean another upcharge ride? Frontier City only has 2.

hmm .. it ran in June 2006 when we were there.

 

It's a Vekoma "Hawk" style ride, one of the few I know of .. it was a perm mount and was possibly sold off to another park.

 

Very very small area .. doubt anything large could go there.

I went there on August first and September the second last year. It was closed each time. An employee told me that there was nothing wrong with the ride, it just needed a new control box and that they were waiting for it to come in. IMO the Tomahawk was awesome. Why would it be taken out? Shouldn't they take out Nightmare Mine first? It's been sitting there for more than three years!!! Tomahawk is probably getting some updates or something. Do you have any pics?
