crispy
I found this, I know its old, but it offers some hope that Cliff's could move and really grow I got this from the Loops The new coaster signals the Hays' decision to stay put on their current 15-acre site. Over the past few years they had been in discussions with the city fairgrounds and nearby Native American reservations about relocating the park. "We kept putting off and putting off making a decision on the coaster thinking something was going to happen," Gary Hays said. "We decided we couldn't wait anymore." On the other hand, Hays expects the coaster to spark renewed interest in landowners who may re-initiate relocation talks. "From that standpoint, this type of coaster is moveable," Hays said. "That would be one heck of a job, but when you consider it in the cost of building a new park, it's doable." So the Rattler is movable, they have some seriously prime real estate right now, the Indian Casino's are getting Huge around Albuquerque, and they have tons of money to invest in a theme park, why not Cliff's
coasterlover420
Dude, that would be awesome! Cliff's could get another coaster for doing that, and it would be cause for a lot of publicity, but I doubt that that will be happenning anytime soon. ElBlufer
wouldn't moving a theme park be very expensive?
Guy T. Koepp
Considering how valuable that particular plot is. It might behoove them to sell that land and move the park. Even if they were to move 5 to 10 miles South, East, or even West they could grab a substantialy larger parcel and have money left over to invest into the new location. Can anybody say "Another new coaster?"

crispy
WOW, I posted THIS, amazing Anyway, they could move to Rio Rancho, a suburb to the north of Albuquerque, for some reason they have a HUGE desire to add entertainment to the growing city, and could possibly subsidize with either a huge plot of land, or tax breaks, which they give the huge Intel plant here, or just money assistance to help them move Anyway, I have met some people who actually WORK at the park, the owners are trying to buy out the land around the park, but the storage building owners won't sell, also there is a nudie bar across the street that is somewhat out of place for the family restraunts and such that are in the area, they could probably get that plot and use it for parking, and use thier current parking lot for rides Oh and don't count out a second coaster, there were rumors they were looking at putting one near the log ride that would hover over it and interact with it wow that was alot longer than planned, oh well
coasterlover420
That would actually dissappoint me, for some reason, because Cliff's was always defined as being IN Albuquerque. Oh, well. It would be closer to me!! Or we could hope they tear down TD's!
crispy
Well, I wouldn't mind if that TD's was torn down at all, its in kinda an odd location, near family restraunts, and the only theme park in Albuquerque, I guess its good if you want to see boobies right after you get off the Rattler
coasterlover420
After a long day, people need to go across the street and have someone dance on their lap. (it's a worse way to spend money if you ask me)
